The MG Midget Register Founded in March 1980, the Midget Register of the MG Car Club exists to support Spridget owners worldwide. Sign up to our newsletter

The MG Midget Register is that section of the MG Car Club catering for MG Midget and Austin Healey Sprite models built between 1958 and 1979. The objectives of the Register are:

a) To maintain a register of surviving cars, recording their history and other relevant information;
b) To encourage the continuing use of MG Midgets and AH Sprites, both on the road and in competition;
c) To organise and assist others in organising competitive and social events;
d) To provide technical advice, and encourage the exchange of spare parts and information;
e) To make available where possible, copies of original Midget and Sprite literature and other material, from the Register's library.

The MG Midget Register Car of the Month for October 2026 is a 1965 MG Midget Mk2 in Tartan Red, owned by David Gordon from Newmachar, Aberdeen, Scotland. David has a great write up of his history with the car which can be seen at https://www.mgcc.co.uk/midget-register/car-of-the-month/ If you want to see your Midget (or Sprite) featured there, you can submit your car’s details and a few photos using the firm at the bottom of the COTM page.

We’re looking forward to being at the Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show, taking place at the NEC Birmingham from 13–15 November 2026.
