IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING ODX 2026.
Overland Discovery Expo started as a passion project.
It began with two couples, sat around conversations saying “why doesn’t this exist?” - and deciding to try and create the kind of event we would genuinely want to attend. Something thoughtful, welcoming, community-led and different. It was never meant to be easy money or a polished corporate machine - it was a true passion project, built alongside full-time jobs, businesses, families and life.
And life, this past year, has been heavy.
Unfortunately, 50% of our small team have had an incredibly challenging year on a personal level. Despite our best efforts, we struggled to keep up with everything that running a show like this demands. One person tried to carry too much on their shoulders for too long and eventually, it simply became unsustainable.
A difficult decision, but one made for the good of everyone: Overland Discovery Expo is postponed until 2027.
This hasn’t been an easy call. It’s been emotional, frustrating, and at times heartbreaking. But it’s the right decision - because this event deserves the time, energy and headspace to be done properly, not rushed or compromised.
We want to sincerely thank everyone who has supported the project so far: our traders, partners, speakers, and everyone who bought tickets, shared posts, or sent messages of encouragement. Your belief in the concept has meant a great deal.
All ticket holders have been contacted and will receive a full refund, or may transfer their ticket to the 2027 dates. There is absolutely no expectation for anyone to hold onto a ticket if they’d prefer not to.
This event will happen.
The venue is rebooked, plans are being refined, and we’re already moving forward with a clearer head and a stronger foundation.
