The vehicle has been to Goodwood Festival of Speed twice and driven up the Hill on live Television on both occasions.

1997 Land Rover Defender 90 300 Tdi Pick Up

A Rare Opportunity to Acquire an Exceptionally Original, Unmolested & Very Desirable 1997 Defender 90 Short Wheel Base.

USA EXPORTABLE, original chassis and matching numbers. This is a very rare find.

The vehicle was first registered 1st August 1997. It has been in long term ownership all its life hence why it is in such good original condition. The first owner had the vehicle from 1996 until 2016. The second owner had the vehicle from 2016 until this year when we acquired the vehicle.

It has a warranted mileage of 81,000 miles. Previous mots to date which shows the very small increase in mileage every year.
Unique in such original condition and we think this is one of the lowest mileage best original un-restored 1997 examples available.

We have done extensive refurbishment work to the vehicle this has included new door hinges, axle and chassis bushes, bump stops, new brake discs and pads all round, new brake shields, new turrets, brake pipes, rocker cover gasket, drive shaft, hub caps, drop arm, front shock absorbers, fuel tank, radiator, intercooler, wheel bearings, brake servo, full engine service, including a new cam belt. New mud flaps, reflectors, tailgate straps and new stainless tailgate latches, new front bumper.

This is now a very nice example, that is in good order. The vehicle will come with 12 months mot.

A very rare find indeed and one unlikely ever to be repeated - truly remarkable!

To find an unmolested example has become very hard, but to find one that has only covered eighty one thousand miles, retains all of its original panels, its original chassis, engine, gearbox, interior.

The bulkhead is exceptionally solid and original, in fact as good as we have ever seen including both original footwells. No welding has been done and none is required.

The underside has been steam cleaned and the original chassis is in excellent condition.

The dash is unmarked with no cracks or sun damage there are no additional holes anywhere.

The vehicle has never even had a radio fitted.
