A massive congratulations today to Abbie Lees, for passing her driving test today with just 2 faults (both of which occurred before leaving the test centre, therefore a clean drive on the road!!).

Abbie has really applied herself to the whole process of learning to drive, going from someone incredibly nervous and full of self doubt, to a confident and very competent driver.

It’s been a real pleasure working with Abbie and watching her grow as a driver and a person.

A huge congratulations today goes to Callum Dunne, who passed his driving test today, at the first attempt, and with only 14 hours of lessons (plus a ton of driving in his own car).

Callum has diligently listened and applied everything that we talked about in his lessons, and progressed incredibly quickly. A very natural driver.

Well done Callum, it’s thoroughly deserved. Stay safe and look after that licence.

Yesterday, I took a lad on his very first driving lesson. He did exceptionally well, showed a really good understanding of the use of the pedals and the steering and we agreed that he would drive home with support from me.

This was the first time he’d emerged from a minor road to a major road and was understandably a little hesitant - the traffic from the right is approaching from a 60mph down to a 30mph

The car behind had been waiting for literally a couple of seconds before he repositions next to us. You can see his indicator to the left is no longer on so I assume he’s changed his mind and is turning right. Just as I’m talking the lad through finding the bite to move off, the car that was behind decides he’s going to actually turn left so cuts us up and zooms off.

How is this in anyway acceptable? If we’d have been a second earlier, there would have been a crash.

Don’t be an arse! Give learners space and time.

Today it was the turn of Lewis Lloyd to take his driving test, and he absolutely aced it, passing at the very first attempt.

Lewis has dedicated a lot of time to this. Not having the luxury of a car to practice in, he’s made sure to set time aside for lessons, even during lunch breaks from work.

It’s been a real pleasure to help Lewis achieve this goal. Now’s the time to step on and keep believing.

Matthew has come a long way with driving, from not really having much interest, to catching the bug and becoming one of the more enthusiastic learners, which in turn led to him working super hard to become as good as he could.

Today it was the turn of Faye Sumner to take her driving test, and she absolutely aced it, passing at the first time with only 2 faults.

Faye has practiced incredibly hard, putting in the hours with parents as well as time with me. She’s taken everything on board and applied herself diligently.
