Wow, what amazing news about Kyle's first time pass! It sounds like such a brilliant achievement after his intensive course in Rhyl. He really did it, passing both his theory and practical test in just 7 days – that's absolutely fantastic! I'm so proud of all his hard work and dedication leading up to this moment. Now he can really enjoy his shiny new Nissan Juke and all the freedom it brings. Congratulations again, Kyle, you've earned this! 🎊

🚗 Please be the difference.
Give confidence, not fear.

Today I had a lesson with a learner driver who had never driven a car before in her life.

We started on a very quiet road in an industrial estate. After around 30 minutes of practice, I felt she was ready to move somewhere slightly busier.

And before anyone misunderstands — I didn’t take her into the middle of town. We simply moved from the industrial estate to a quiet residential area.

We came to a T-junction and she stopped.

A car was approaching from her right. There was probably enough time for an experienced driver to go, but she didn’t feel confident enough yet.

And that’s absolutely fine.

She’s learning.

Then a car pulled up behind us.

The driver didn’t wait minutes. He barely waited seconds.

He saw her miss that gap and immediately started vigorously sounding his horn and waving his arms at us.

Why?

Seriously… why?

You can see the learner car. You can see the L plates. You know exactly why we might be taking a little longer.

And at some point in your life, you were a learner too.

This isn’t a rare occurrence. Ask almost any driving instructor and they’ll have similar stories. It happens far too often.

But it still makes me furious inside, because that learner was doing well. She was building confidence. She was making progress.

One impatient person can turn that confidence into fear in seconds.

So next time you find yourself behind a learner, please remember:

That might be their first day.
Their first junction.
Their first time dealing with traffic.
Their first time trying to make these decisions while controlling a car.

Give them a few extra seconds.

Be patient.

Be the difference. Give confidence, not fear. ❤️🚗

So thrilled to share that Abbie passed her driving test today with amazingdrive! 🎊 It’s fantastic to see all her hard work and dedication pay off. She absolutely aced it, finishing with zero minors, just as I requested! You didn't even need the lucky socks, though I do love them – they add such a fun touch. This is such a proud moment, and I can't wait to see you out on the road without your L plates. Well done, Abbie🚘

“Andrea, I don’t think I can do this.”

I’ve heard those words from so many learners.

Learners with anxiety, ADHD, autism or experiences that have affected their confidence who genuinely believe driving might never be possible for them.

And one of the best parts of my job?

Watching “I can’t” slowly turn into “I DID IT!” 🎆
I see the nerves.
I see the racing heart.
I see how much courage it takes just to get behind the wheel.

And I see the moment they start believing in themselves.

Because sometimes, learning to drive isn’t really about driving.

It’s about proving to yourself that fear doesn’t get to decide what you’re capable of.

Every lesson. Every little win. Every mile.

They all matter. 💗

If you’re a nervous learner, please don’t give up on yourself.

You CAN do hard things. And I’ll be right beside you while you learn.

🎊So incredibly proud to announce Isabelle's amazing 1st time pass on her driving test! 🎊 It's been a hell of a journey (dvla took its sweet time to sort out your licence🙄) but you kept your patience and practice and went and passed your theory first time and just did the same for the practical! Just in time to enjoy the rest of the summer holidays. ☀️
Seeing you finally get that shiny new license is just fantastic, and I have so much trust in your safe driving going forward. Thank you for being such a dedicated student throughout all your driving lessons.
