Right now our guests can see barley being harvested by our neighbours. The grain is destined for the wh**ky industry.

In case you missed our silly reel yesterday, we now have drinking water available to guests and service stop users.

We have a 25mm hose with decent pressure, so it won't take long to fill up. Maybe enough time to grab a coffee and some essentials in our new coffee shop when it opens in September?

Searchforsites have already updated our listing, but you may need to re-sync your mobile app for the update. park4night has also already updated, but this app uses live data, so no sync required.

I am considering adding EHUs, however, the tourist tax proposals in Perth and Kinross are placing the future of the aire in jeopardy, so we will delay this investment. If the tourist tax is implemented we will be forced out of business.

Not sure if this will be useful to our motorhome visitors, however, we will soon benefit from a public EV charging station onsite. Oh and a shop too.

⚡ New 50kw DC Dual EV Charger Coming Soon ⚡

We have been offered grant funding from the Rural and Island Infrastructure Fund for a new public EV charging station.

Soon Aberfeldy will boast two 50kw DC public charging stations. This will surely encourage more EV drivers to visit our fantastic town.

This news is the icing on the cake this week. We are also expecting our bean to cup coffee vending machine to be installed on Friday. Plus, we are on final fit for the self service cabin and expect to be opening within days.

Help save us from up to a planned 40% tax hike that will close our stopover.

Perth and Kinross are planning a £4 a night visitor levy. [edit £4.80 inc VAT]. If they go ahead, we will be forced to close.

The proposed scheme will see luxury hotel guests paying a levy of less than one percent whilst small stopovers and rally hosts will be forced out.

There is a consultation, you have to plough through lots of leading questions before the final question of whether you oppose the scheme or you can get email [email protected]

Please respond and say no to the levy. Any form of levy will automatically be applied to stopovers and even if it’s low it will cause unnecessary red tape that will cause many site owners to reconsider whether it’s worth staying open or setting up in the first place.
