ROVOP’s brand-new Kystdesign Constructor 31 is on its first offshore deployment, supporting operations aboard Reach Subsea's Deep Cygnus in the North Sea.

The addition of this high specification ROV system further strengthens our fleet capability, combining Kystdesign's proven engineering with ROVOP's experienced offshore teams and the global strength of Edison Chouest Offshore.

ROVOP has strengthened its presence in Asia Pacific, having moved to our new ROV Support Base in Singapore.

Already supporting our clients' subsea operations across the region, this expanded facility reinforces our long‑term commitment to the Asia Pacific region. It provides improved access to our high‑quality ROV assets and industry‑leading offshore personnel, enabling more efficient mobilisation, and continuing our strong operational support. The investment also improves the office environment for ROVOP’s team of onshore specialists as they work alongside our offshore team to deliver our quality service.

The enhanced Singapore base builds on ROVOP’s global operations across the UK, Middle East and the Americas, further solidifying our position as the global ROV specialist delivering complete ROV solutions that reduce risk and cost while maximising safety and performance.

Team ROVOP swapped coveralls and office wear for football shirts as we showed our support for the World Cup and our charity partner, VSA.

From Scotland to the USA, the team proudly wore their colours to help raise funds for a fantastic cause. We even had our honorary US team member, Lance Morales, flying the Stars and Stripes alongside the Scotland shirts.

With friends, colleagues and industry contacts heading off to the tournament, we're looking forward to following the action over the coming weeks and cheering on all those taking part.

Well done to Broughty United 2013s on a fantastic first season of competitive football.

The team reached their first cup final, beat every team in the league, and put together an outstanding 10-match winning run late in the season.

We’ve been busy in recent months, mobilising multiple ROV systems in support of key offshore projects across the evolving energy mix.

First, we successfully mobilised a work‑class ROV system in support of a major Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) project in the UK North Sea. This represents our first scope supporting CCS infrastructure - an important milestone as we continue applying our offshore subsea expertise to emerging low‑carbon solutions.

Shortly afterwards, we mobilised a separate work‑class ROV for an unexploded ordnance (UXO) clearance campaign on a European offshore wind farm project. With extensive experience in UXO operations and complex offshore environments, ROVOP continues to deliver reliable, high‑performance ROV solutions that support safe and efficient project ex*****on.

Both projects will utilise Schilling HD ROV systems - among the most advanced work‑class ROVs available. Their modular design and advanced control technologies are engineered to minimise downtime while maximising safety and operational efficiency.

We’re proud to see Shellie Stewart representing ROVOP as the headline speaker at the FT Recruitment Group PA, EA & Business Support networking event in Aberdeen.

Held at Six by Nico, the event brought together local professionals to connect, share experiences and build valuable relationships across the business support community.

Delivered with Shellie’s infectious spark, her talk, “More than ‘just admin’ – the modern day PA/EA”, explored the evolving role of PAs and EAs, highlighting the strategic value they bring to organisations and the impact they have beyond traditional expectations.

In addition to her role as an EA, Shellie plays an invaluable role in shaping our culture and leads our charitable efforts. Most recently, the team raised almost £12,000 for Charlie House HQ in 2025, following £10,000 raised for Maggie's Aberdeen the year before.

ROVOP has raised nearly £12,000 for its 2025 charity partner, Charlie House.

Shellie Stewart and Steven Cowie presented the cheque to Rebecca Wink and Ryan Wilson at Charlie House yesterday.

After being selected by employees, the ROVOP team has gone above and beyond to support this amazing local charity throughout the year.

Charlie House provides vital support to babies, children and young people with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions across the North-east of Scotland. The work they do for families is truly inspiring, and ROVOP is honoured to play a small part in helping them continue that support.

It was great to see the ROVOP Houston team taking part in Christmas Jumper Day yesterday - fantastic effort, everyone!

While it’s not typically known as Christmas Jumper Day in the US (more often Ugly Sweater Day), we certainly don’t think these jumpers are ugly at all – everyone looked brilliant.

Wonderful to see the whole team getting involved and bringing some festive fun into the office!
