It’s Friday and RACE WEEKEND is finally here! 🏁💪
After a disappointing last round with a broken gearbox and melted wiring, it’s been a massive push to get the car rebuilt and ready to go again.
The new Xshift 6-speed sequential gearbox gets its first outing this afternoon for a shakedown 🔥⚙️ Fingers crossed everything feels good before we get down to business tomorrow!
Qualifying + 4 races this weekend 🏎️💨

Assembling the new Xshift 6-speed sequential gearbox is finally complete! 🔥
What an incredible piece of engineering. From the precision-machined billet steel gears to the heavy-duty dog rings, every component has been built with strength, reliability, and lightning-fast shifts in mind. The quality and attention to detail throughout this gearbox are seriously impressive. Now it's time to get it installed, finish the final preparations, and see what it can do on track. With race day fast approaching, I can't wait to hear it banging through the gears and put it to the test.

It's finally here... my brand new XShift
6-speed sequential gearbox! 🔥

After wrecking 2 gear sets in 2 boxes this made sense long term and for future power increase goals
A massive thank you to Steve at Roland Alsop for making it happen. Now it's time to get this beauty assembled and installed.
With only 10 days until race day, there's a mountain of work ahead, but I can't wait to get this car back on track. Stay tuned—plenty more updates coming as the build progresses! ❤️🏁

After a pretty decent run of good results, the last two race weekends haven't gone to plan.
Before the last event I picked up a fine, 3 points on my licence and a 10-point championship penalty for a safety car breach in horrendous rain where visibility was almost non-existent. Then, to top it all off, I destroyed 3rd gear and melted the wiring loom.
It's definitely been a bit of a bummer, but that's motorsport.
Major repairs and upgrades are now underway, and I'm just hoping everything comes together in time for the next race. We'll be back.

A step closer to getting this monster out on track! 🔥

The car was missing its front wings, so we decided to upgrade rather than replace. We've gone with a set of lightweight ABW fibreglass 22B-style wide wings, giving the car a more aggressive look while helping keep weight down.

The rear quarter panels are next on the list
, and the build is really starting to come together now.

Can't wait to see this thing where it belongs – on track. 🏁

RS3 in today for an induction kit and Stage 1 remap.
Before making any changes, we carried out a full datalogging session to ensure the car was healthy and to confirm it hadn't been previously tuned. The logs showed the vehicle was completely stock, giving us the perfect foundation to work from.
After fitting the induction kit and carrying out our custom Stage 1 calibration, the transformation was incredible. Sharper throttle response, increased power throughout the rev range, and a completely different driving experience.
Another happy customer leaving with a totally different beast! 🔥

VW Golf R in the workshop with a spun rod bearing, requiring a full engine replacement.

A few days of work ahead, but we'll have it back up and running in no time. Once completed, it'll be performing just as it should and ready to hit the road again.
