👏🏻 Danger_Daz_Racing representing Scotland!! Good luck 🔥🔥
Team,
Before we head over to the Isle of Man, I just want to say a few words.
The Celtic Match Races are special because the venue rotates every year, giving each home nation the opportunity to host and compete on home soil.
Last year, that honour belonged to Scotland.
In front of our own people, we achieved what we set out to do.
We became Celtic Match Race Champions.
That was a special moment, and something every one of us should be incredibly proud of.
But this year, the event moves on.
It’s now the Isle of Man’s turn to host, so we’re crossing the water and going into somebody else’s backyard.
And we’re not travelling there hoping to win something.
We’re travelling there as the defending champions.
That brings pressure, but it’s the kind of pressure we’ve earned.
Every other team knows who holds the title. They’ll be determined to take it from us, and we should expect nothing less.
But they should also know something about this Scottish team:
We won’t give it up easily.
Last year’s victory wasn’t down to one rider, one race or one result. It came from everyone doing their job, supporting one another and fighting for every single point.
That’s what being a team is about.
So when you pull that helmet on and go to the start line on the Isle of Man, remember what you’re representing.
You’re representing Scotland.
You’re representing your teammates, your families, your mechanics, your sponsors and everyone who has helped get us there.
Most importantly, you’re riding for the people standing alongside you, wearing that same Scottish badge.
There will be good races. There will be difficult races. Things won’t always go our way.
When that happens, we pick ourselves up and go again.
Every race matters. Every position matters. Every point matters.
Respect the opposition. Race hard. Race smart. Look after one another and give absolutely everything you’ve got.
Last year, we proved that Scotland could win the Celtic Match Races at home.
This year, we have the opportunity to do something different:
To take that title away from home, defend it on Manx soil and bring it back to Scotland.
We’re leaving Scotland with that title.
And when that ferry brings us back across the water, I want us standing together, knowing that every one of us gave everything we had to bring it home again.
We go to the Isle of Man with pride.
We go there together.
And we go there as Celtic Match Race champions.
The venue might change every year. Let’s make sure the winners don’t.
Come on, Scotland!
We are incredibly proud to have been chosen as your Scottish team managers, and it is a privilege to stand alongside this team.
