🚗 Winter Car Care Tips from Kelbie’s Auto Centre (Aberdeen) ❄️

With colder weather here – and another cold snap due again at the end of the week – a few simple checks can help keep you on the road and avoid an unexpected trip to the garage 👇

Easy checks you can do at home:
• Tyres: Make sure you’ve got plenty tread and they’re properly inflated – cold weather can drop your pressure.
• Lights: Walk around your car and check all bulbs are working.
• Battery: If your car is slow to start, it could be struggling in the cold.
• Wipers & Washer Fluid: Top up with winter screenwash and make sure your blades aren’t smearing.
• Coolant/Antifreeze: Essential to stop your engine freezing – if you’re unsure, we can check this for you.

Despite the weather not exactly playing ball lately, Gregor Moir of local firm Gregor Moir woodwork has been cracking on and finishing off a large extension over in Balmedie. With a fresh start on the cards, he needed a ULEZ van — and he needed it quick.

Gregor sent over a top lad from his team, Josh, to view this cracked van for him. After a proper look around, a test drive, and navigating a few obstacles along the way (including the lovely Scottish weather 🌧️), Josh managed to get it out on the road and put it through its paces.

Once he was happy, the feedback went straight back to Gregor — and without hesitation, Gregor took the jump and secured the vehicle. We’ve no doubt it’ll serve him well and be a great addition to the fleet and we hope to be able to continue a working relationship.

Another sold and delivered, Stan opted for our low mileage Vivaro we had in stock and was not disappointed enjoy your new van.

❄️ Commitment, no matter the conditions ❄️

We’re fully committed to getting our vehicle deliveries out to our customers, even when the weather is against us.

Although conditions were too bad to safely take the recovery truck out, we still made sure the vehicle was delivered as promised. After delivery, it was trains back to HQ.

I was on the road from 6am on route to Inverness, and the lowest temperature we saw was a brutal -12°C 🥶

Even the snow couldn’t stop this deal. Stanisław made the trip down from Inverness to view this 2017 Vivaro, but with the weather taking a turn for the worse, delivery was the sensible option.

The van was exactly as expected, the deal was agreed without fuss, and we’ll be arranging delivery shortly. We’re hoping to grab a photo with Stanisław when the Vivaro is handed over.
