Heartbreaking to write this post but the time has come . The lump in my throat is something I’d never experience given how well we have done in recent years.

We at Alexander auto repairs are closing our doors .

Rising costs massively an influence in our decision with this . And we simply cannot keep up with it all now .

Over the past years many will know we dealt with many local companies maintaining their work vehicles over extended periods of time . Sadly some of these companies went bust taking us for thousands , money that when lost is very hard to replace and keep up with the daily costs as your going. Maybe naive of me to think having multiple lines of large credit to work with these companies was a good idea , and it was until it wasn’t .

We have been trying to make a go of it but I will admit my heart is no longer in it. I feel there are many factors in line with the financials that are causing far too much stress which I am now taking home with me.

We will now look to complete work sitting in yard before closing up fully and will no longer accept new bookings going forward.

We’ve had some truly amazing memories and experiences while being here, meeting new people who have gone on to be close friends as well as very loyal customers . For this we cannot thank you enough for your support over this time. It really has been the most magical period of my life.

Going forward myself and Claire will have a break to reset and see what the future holds . Otis of course will still be by our sides everywhere . 🐶

We thank Steve for working with us until the end we know this past few months have been overly stressful and sometimes even a bit crazy. But you’ll always be my best friend and I know you have our backs regardless the battle we go into. 👨‍🔧

And again just to reiterate, a massive thank you to all our customers and friends who have supported us for 7 years now , genuinely you all have touched my heart with your continued support .

Today’s politicians are tomorrow’s terrorists. The decisions they make today keep hurting us more and more yet they get pay rises and bonuses as well as expenses at our cost the tax payer , when everything’s gone who’s gonna take the wrap ? I bet they blame each other whilst making it worse !

Spain 🇪🇸 come at me ! Definitely on the horizon. So if anyone wants to buy garage equipment give me a shout , in the coming months I may decide the time has come .

Do you own a VW , Audi , seat , Skoda ? Do you have issues with your in car heating ?

As you can see in pics below , all vag models now come with a silica bag in the coolant expansion bottle for what reason il never believe .

This is becoming more and more apparent, we have had many people come past having had a timing belt and water pump replaced but no longer have hot air coming into the cab .

This is due to the silica bag bursting and causing the heater core matrix to block up of this gunky stuff . Causing no flow of hot coolant to pass and give out hot air .
