We welcomed James’s absolutely stunning 2023 Urban Audi RSQ8 into the workshop for one of our Stage 1 performance packages, featuring Ecotune bespoke software. 🔥

James felt the car lacked that instant throttle response you’d expect from a performance SUV and wanted it to deliver the power and urgency the RS badge deserves. Having tuned plenty of RS on this platform, we knew exactly how to unlock its full potential.

As with every vehicle that comes through our doors, we carried out our comprehensive pre-tuning inspection before flashing Ecotune’s Stage 1 calibration. After extensive logging whilst liaising with our friends at Ecotune HQ, the results speak for themselves...

🚀STOCK TO STAGE 2 RS3 – 500+BHP & 510LBFT 🚀

Who doesn’t love the sound of a DAZA RS3? 😍

We recently welcomed Lewis’ stunning Ara Blue RS3 into the workshop for a comprehensive Stage 2 transformation, utilising Ecotune ECU & TCU software alongside a carefully selected package of performance upgrades. 🔥

Owen was given the responsibility for this build and was more than happy to add another DAZA to his ever-growing tally. As with every vehicle that comes through our doors, he began by carrying out our thorough pre-tuning inspection and full health check before fitting a single performance part.

During the inspection, Owen identified an oil leak from the sump—something we’ve encountered on a handful of RS3/TTRS models. After discussing the issue with Lewis, he gave us the go-ahead to remove and reseal the sump.

However, once the sump was removed, we discovered something far more concerning... 😱

Lying in the bottom of the sump was a broken section of the timing chain guide.

At that point, all tuning work was immediately put on hold while we contacted Lewis to explain our findings. Having owned a Stage 3 GTI looked after by us previously, Lewis knows our approach—we’d much rather find and fix problems before chasing power.

Without hesitation, he authorised us to carry out a complete genuine timing chain replacement before continuing with the Stage 2 package, ensuring the car was mechanically perfect before any additional performance was added.

🔥 VW GOLF MK8 GTI STAGE 2 | 350+BHP🔥

We recently welcomed Brandon’s MK8 GTI into the workshop after he experienced a significant loss of power.

The first step was connecting the car to our genuine Volkswagen Audi Group ODIS dealer diagnostic system, allowing us to carry out guided test plans and dealer-level diagnostic procedures. After completing the required tests, we identified the fault as a failed turbo actuator rod, which was preventing the turbo from operating correctly.

We replaced the faulty actuator with a genuine OEM unit before using ODIS to carry out the essential calibration and set the actuator voltage to the manufacturer’s specification. This is exactly why we invest in genuine dealer-level diagnostic equipment—many repairs require precise calibration and guided procedures that simply can’t be completed correctly with generic scan tools.

Brandon’s GTI also arrived with an existing Stage 1 calibration that he wasn’t completely satisfied with. With the car now back to full health, he decided to upgrade to Ecotune’s Stage 2 ECU & TCU software.

After fitting the required supporting hardware and completing the calibration, the results speak for themselves:

🏎️🔥AUDI S4 B9 UPGRADE & HEALTH CHECK🔥🏎️

We recently welcomed Jack’s Audi S4 B9 into the workshop for a selection of upgrades and maintenance, including:

Owen was tasked with carrying out the installation, ensuring everything was fitted to the highest standard. During the process, he noticed what appeared to be a slight boost leak from an aftermarket inlet that had previously been fitted elsewhere.

After discussing our findings with Jack, he gave us the go-ahead to carry out a smoke test, which immediately confirmed our diagnosis. Once the issue was rectified and everything reassembled, we completed a thorough road test to ensure the car was performing exactly as it should.

Another healthy S4 back on the road, with improved reliability and peace of mind for the owner. 🤝

🚀🔥 Stage 3 CUPRA 300 – 540bhp & 434lb-ft 🔥🚀

Dan recently brought his CUPRA 300 to us for our Powermax 2 Package, complete with a comprehensive list of supporting modifications and Ecotune Stage 3 ECU & TCU Reflex software. 😎

With many successful Stage 3 builds under our belt, we started with our non-negotiable pre-tuning inspection to ensure the engine was in perfect health before any calibration work began.

Our inspection included:

Once the hardware was installed, we returned the vehicle to stock software before flashing Ecotune’s Stage 3 calibration and beginning our extensive data logging process.

The warm weather certainly made temperatures a challenge, but after refining the calibration and completing multiple logging sessions, this CUPRA delivered an impressive:

🔥 434lb-ft of torque

We then carried out further road logging while working closely with the team at Ecotune HQ to ensure everything performed exactly as it should in real-world conditions.

The result? A completely transformed CUPRA that’s now an absolute front-wheel-drive weapon. 📈💥

🚀🔥 Stage 3 Polo GTI – 433bhp & 412lb-ft! 🔥🚀

We’ve just handed over Pat’s Polo GTI from the team at TEF Breakers, and what a build this has turned out to be! 💪

Pat first got in touch after following our social media, keen to take his car to the next level with Ecotune’s Stage 3 Powermax 1 software with Reflex. After a few conversations and putting together the right build plan, he made the 6-hour round trip to leave the car with us.

As with every Stage 3 build, we started with a thorough pre-tuning inspection. With the engine sitting on 124,000 miles, we discussed realistic expectations before carrying out our full Stage 3 health checks, including testing both sets of injectors on our in-house ASNU injector testing machine.

During the inspection we uncovered a few issues. The vacuum pump threads had previously been damaged, with evidence of a poor repair after the Golf R HPFP had been cross-threaded during installation.

Thankfully, James worked his magic, carefully repairing the damaged threads and correcting the previous workmanship. Massive shout-out to James for saving the day! 👏

Once everything checked out, we returned the ECU to stock, loaded Ecotune’s Stage 3 calibration, and strapped the car to the dyno.

While carrying out our logging, we noticed the exhaust cam was trailing the target by around 5 degrees. After speaking with Pat, we learned the cam magnet had already been replaced fairly recently.

We swapped the control valve first, which improved things slightly, but it still wasn't quite where we wanted it. After another discussion, we decided to fit a brand-new genuine cam magnet and run it again.

That did the trick.

The cam timing came back into line, allowing the calibration to perform exactly as intended. The result? A healthy 433bhp and 412lb-ft, up from the previous best of 420bhp. 💥

Out on the road, the final logs confirmed what the dyno had already told us—this little Polo is an absolute weapon.

Handing the keys back to Pat is what makes all the hard work worthwhile. Seeing his reaction, the excitement on his face, and even getting a genuine hug of appreciation reminds us exactly why we do what we do.
