Our Nissan R390 GT1 is one of only 7 race chassis built by TWR for Nissan in 1997 and 1998.
The R390 is today one of the rarest of the GT golden era (97-99). In addition to the very few chassis built, Nissan has retained 4 of them at the Nismo museum so that only 3 are privately owned.
Our car, chassis was built after the 1997 Le Mans 24 hours and used as the factory development car to help design the 1998 version. It had been extensively used in endurance tests, driver and tire tests and driven by the Nissan factory drivers of the period : John Nielsen, Erik Comas, Andrea Montermini, Jan Lammers, Frank Lagorce, Kazuyoshi Hoshino.
Chassis has hit the headlines of the Japanese press for several months while tested at Donington, Mugello, Barcelona, Jarama and Autopolis. It was called the R390 Evolution.
Powered by the Group C proven VRH35 twin turbo V8, the R390 is one of the fastest GT ever built and again one of the rarest.
