Big day working on a 741 Scout today. Repaired the magneto: coil, condenser, and ignition timing. Adjusted the Linkert... the bike runs perfectly. Ready for Rømø, Denmark. Thanks to Fred.

Engine disassembly and reassembly to fit the crankshaft from a 1970 Triumph Bonneville T120—using a special conversion kit (timing-side bearing and shims)—into a 1953 5T crankcase (pre-unit model), billet rods .std shells.aluminum cylinder and a T100 Delta cylinder head. This procedure requires precisely centering the crankshaft and setting its end float.
