We started our small collection of French cars with a 2CV AZU Fourgonnette for our Cycling business, Pyrenees Multisport. This grew to a Renault 4L for running about in and then yet another Renault 4L for a restoration project. But along came a 1949 Simca 6 which we could not resist and then our final addition (for now) was given to us by a neighbour, our 1955 Traction Avant 11B.

C’est parti pour la 19 ème édition du rallye de Monte-Carlo 1949. Les Rosier quittent Lisbonne pour tenter de rejoindre la Principauté au volant de la 4 CV de série immatriculée 426 NH 7. Un défi insense si on considère que la petite puce de Billancourt annonce 18 chevaux pour une cylindrée de 760 cm3 ce qui la range dans la catégorie 750/1100 cm3 aux nombreuses concurrentes bien plus puissantes ! La moyenne imposée par le règlement est de 50 km/h sur plus de 3000 kilomètres et Louis Rosier attaque l’épreuve plein pot avec seulement 3 vitesses sous la main. Jean-Louis, le fils aîné, guide le patron aguerri aux routes enneigées du Puy-de-Dôme…

We have been accepted for the Rally Monte Caro Historique 2025 in our 1955 Renault 4CV (70 years old, 2nd oldest in the event). Team support from Retro Renault Services (retrorenaultservices.co.uk).
This is our 2nd attempt at getting to the start line, this time from Monte Carlo giving us a nice 420km first leg to Valence.
Car preparation is now in progress but the recent testing at Rally Costa Brava went very well.
🤞 Can't Wait.

Pressure is on - 1st car of the low speed category. Car  #60  - at least it makes the time card easier.
