A particular favourite of mine, this was designed a couple of seasons ago, a modern interpretation of the old Lola blue and yellow stripe often seen in days gone by.

As with many real-world designs there were some branding challenges with Yamaha, so you will notice their logo is usually in white.

An interesting form to work with as well.

Some awesome images of the F1 GTR which I design with assistance and direction Tony Harris ( he did some Canon Williams stuff back in the day).

Although a McLaren project ( I was allowed to freelance), it was many late night in London, working with Tony and McLaren Marketing Director, Ekrem Sami ( who is a legend btw).

These images capture the vibrancy of the fluorescent Pink paint.

A chance to own one of my oldest liveries. Slight catch, you need around $35m US.

Last photo show the original (middle) model I used to create the livery way back in January 1996.

McLaren Cars already painted the first 96 chassis before they reached out for a livery. I was really struggling with a design, so I asked the paint shop to spray a spare model and various stickers and had a play in miniature 3d.

Get Repost App • RM Sotheby's RM Sotheby’s has offered Le Mans winners, Grand Prix legends, Ferrari 250 GTOs, and many of the most important competition cars ever created. But never a McLaren F1 GTR Short-Tail.

Until now.

Chassis 10R is one of just two factory prototype “XP” Short-Tail cars, standing alongside 01R, the McLaren F1 GTR that won the 24 Hours of Le Mans outright in 1995. Built as McLaren’s prototype for the 1996 season, 10R became the first of only nine GTRs constructed to the faster, lighter, and more advanced 1996 specification.

Yet its significance extends far beyond the circuit.

Finished by McLaren in its unmistakable scarlet and yellow factory livery, 10R is the only F1 GTR to wear a design of its kind. Bold, graphic, and unmistakably rooted in the visual language of 1990s British pop culture, it transformed one of the greatest racing cars ever built into something equally at home in a gallery.

Its sole private owner could hardly have been more fitting.

Acquired directly from McLaren by Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason in 1999, 10R became part of one of the world’s most thoughtful collections of significant competition cars. Maintained without compromise and converted for road use by McLaren itself, it has spent more than a quarter-century at the intersection of motorsport, music, art, and British cultural history.

The McLaren F1 GTR was the last Le Mans-winning race car derived directly from a road-going hypercar. Chassis 10R represents the ultimate expression of that idea.

A prototype. A racing icon. A work of pop art. A cultural artifact.

The missing piece arrives at Monterey.

I had another opportunity to work with Pfaff Motorsports on their MotoMaster Canadian Tire Motorsport Park after the success of the Watkins Glen Xpel design.

We looked at a few options but ultimately went with a new variant of the yellow Xpel design, but with added red Plaid, just in time for the Canadian race.

Thanks to for the opportunity, Lamborghini Squadra Corse and to .n3d for the renders, while the actual car was wrapped by C17media
