LEWIS HAMILTON’S F40 🇮🇹🏎️
Lewis Hamilton just added one of the most legendary Ferraris ever built to his garage: a Ferrari F40.
But Lewis Hamilton’s F40 isn’t just another collector car.
The seven-time Formula 1 World Champion has called the Ferrari F40 his dream car since childhood. After joining Ferrari, that dream finally became reality.
The story behind Lewis Hamilton’s F40 makes it even better. The 1991 Ferrari F40 had reportedly been sitting largely untouched in a private garage for more than 30 years before Hamilton acquired it. The car was brought back to Maranello, where Ferrari engineers and mechanics worked to bring the legendary twin-turbo V8 supercar back to life.
And today, Lewis Hamilton arrived at Monza for the Italian Grand Prix behind the wheel of his Ferrari F40. (Formula 1® - The Official F1® Website)
There’s even a perfect detail connecting the car to its new owner: Hamilton revealed that the engine carries the number 44 — the same number he has raced with throughout his Formula 1 career. (Reuters)
From posing beside an F40 when he first arrived at Ferrari to now owning and driving one himself, the story has come full circle.
So we have one question…
Congratulations Lewis Hamilton on your Ferrari F40 — but are you going to drive it like Raoul? 😂
Some cars are collected.
Others are meant to be driven.
