Many of us at a 'certain' age are not able to do things we could in our youth ( would we want to?! 🫣) but that's OK here. Our adorable little girl called Onion, yes, you did read that right! Is learning to be mounted specifically from the offside for her new mum, who finds it easier that way. THAT is also the difference here; YOUR HORSE...TAILOR MADE FOR YOU.
We've been doing this for more than 70 yrs...and we're proud of what we do ❤️

Lord, can our Normandy Cobs be any more magnificent? 😍 James, 7yrs old, 16hh, proving he's willing to go up & down Ze Farm drive, back & forth, leaving his herd without fuss or argument. Practise makes perfect, this makes a lovely partner that is not herd bound or barn sour. It's a small detail often overlooked by sellers...but not by us, in fact, we don't overlook anything (except maybe a hat on private land)

⚠️ STOP ⚠️ take a moment out of your scrolling...each and every single day we hear horror stories about buying horses in the UK. By the time someone decides to take the leap of faith, visit us in Normandy, it's because the majority of buyers are broken. There are 3 or 4 breeds of horse that repeatedly come up in the informal conversation we have on the telephone to make sure BOTH parties are on the same wavelength.

It's the equal responsibility of both buyer & seller to make sure it's going to work; we are the horses voice! There are good dealers in the UK from a financial point of view (they will refund you if within the 28 day period)

BUT...how about everyone was honest from the very beginning? Normandie Driving and Riding has been doing this long enough to know it's more than making a sale...how many homes must the horse go to before they find the right home?
If you're still reading, then you can class yourself as a true lover of equines. 28 days do not count here. Here is a perfect example ⬇️

So the next time you find yourself trawling the Internet, or asking the dodgy dealers pages for advice...stop, think..we understand many of you are so tired, we are too; you don't know where to place your trust, so we're obliged to work 10 times harder as you are wary by now, but we will NOT deviate from almost 70 yrs of doing thing's ' our way' which is to say; always put the horse first ❤️

It's really not rocket science; honesty and equine personality match. As for money? Well, we'd rather sell the RIGHT horse to the RIGHT home for less. However, realistically, you are looking at no more than you'd expect to pay in the UK from door to door. Meeting us costs, but it's not like you're coming to Tenko 😅
We've got what the majority of you are looking for. Right here, just across the channel, but you'll meet us, be welcomed into our family farm. You're not obliged to buy...but you will meet the real deal...

Well friends, you saw him here first....and it's highly unlikely you'll ever see another. Geo the gentleman, 16.1hh, 5yrs old.

Geo is everything ALL our horses are; well mannered, listens to their riders & zero horrible pasts. What makes him utterly unique, is that he is a fully paid up member of the Normandy Cob society. Official studbook CBND. AND he's a Palomino (Flaxen Chestnut) We thought it was finally time to show him to you 🥰

Leo DeJy has begun his training & having been born to us 5yrs ago; we already knew he was cute, conscientious & curious 👀 We adapt our education for both horse & human. It's a holistic approach, we wait until the time is right...for them, for you & for us.
That's the difference between a breeder & a dealer; we KNOW our horses. We've a 50 yr plus record, we're undeniably proud of our cobs 🥰 Leo De Jy, 5yrs old, 15.3hh, a horse of a lifetime one could say

We are aware that the pony market is a tricky one in the UK. The majority of you know that the Normandies are our 'thing' Without boasting; I think this pretty much sums up our pony herd. ( though, knowing Franck, there is always someone or something extra tucked away under the hedgerows 😅)
