For a diver in full gear, the bow ramp lowers directly into the water for easy boarding.

A fully flat, barrier-free deck means personnel can move fast, equipment can be repositioned quickly, and boarding is safe in any conditions.

Every ALUCAT® catamaran is built this way as standard. No thresholds or raised edges and no obstacles. Movement is efficient and easy, as is loading equipment or tools.

We have engineered our boats to be as durable and low-maintenance as possible, keeping the total cost of ownership low. All parts are easy to replace and update when needed, without long service breaks.

Did you know that all our catamarans are built from marine-grade aluminium 5083, from hull to cabins?

Aluminium is extremely durable, low maintenance, does not rust and provides a long service life. Individual parts are easy to update or replace when needed, without taking the boat out of service for long.

A well-built aluminium boat lasts 25-30 years in professional use. That means less time on maintenance and more time doing the actual work.

For us, the bow ramp is not just a detail, it's the whole point.

When we design our boats, we always have accessibility and safety first in mind. This is why all our boat models come with a front bow ramp, to make sure you don't need to climb over railings of sides, or to use cranes and lifts to get your equipment on board.

The ramp can be operated from the helm or manually right at the ramp itself.

New video: Showcasing Alucat W16 DCTOP for rescue and oil spill operations.

We showcase the boat in action from driving tests, ATV loading via the hydraulic bow ramp, and direct shoreline beaching without a jetty.

Last friday we delivered the ALUCAT® W16 DCTOP for Kymenlaakso Rescue department.

This rescue boat has 16 m² of deck space, hydraulic bow ramp for easy access and an open cabin for fast movement on board.

Kymenlaakso Rescue Department took delivery of their third ALUCAT® catamaran today.

Last autumn they received a W16 DCTOP and a W10 DCTOP. Today, a second W16 DCTOP joins their fleet.

The W16 DCTOP is built for rescue use: 16 m² of flat, barrier-free deck, a hydraulic bow ramp wide enough for stretchers and rescue equipment, and a catamaran hull that stays stable when conditions get rough. The DC TOP cabin keeps the crew sheltered without closing off movement between the cabin and deck.

Before delivery, the vessel was tested by our team and inspected by an independent third-party surveyor covering structural integrity, safety equipment, and compliance with maritime workboat regulations. Kymenlaakso Rescue Department also carried out their own test run at our factory before final completion.

ALUCAT® is growing in the Norwegian market and we are looking for the right person to help us grow there.

If you know the Norwegian maritime sector, have contacts among workboat operators, rescue services or other authorities (especially in defence sector), and understand how professional boat procurement works, we want to hear from you.

Experience in the workboat or catamaran industry is a big plus. The role involves representing ALUCAT® boats, attending fairs and client meetings, and occasional visits to our factory in Finland.
