This week kicks off our defence and DALO expo theme.

Authority and defence boats often need to change direction instantly, sometimes in demanding weather conditions. ALUCAT® catamarans are engineered to stay level in situations where traditional hulls struggle. Full control, minimal heel, and a flat, barrier-free deck to work from.

The boat featured is a customized W18 CAB6 for the Finnish Border Guard. Later this week we will take a closer look at this boat.

This is our first B-class professional boat, built with symmetrical pontoons and customized for a rescue department.

Accessibility can mean different things to different people.

For a diver in full gear, the bow ramp lowers directly into the water for easy boarding.

For a wheelchair user or someone with limited mobility, the same ramp and flat deck open up boating in a way that few boats make possible. Get ashore wherever you want, and enjoy the nature.

At ALUCAT®, we say our boats are SAFE. The A stands for accessibility, and it applies to everyone on board, not just professionals.

A fully flat, barrier-free deck means personnel can move fast, equipment can be repositioned quickly, and boarding is safe in any conditions.

Every ALUCAT® catamaran is built this way as standard. No thresholds or raised edges and no obstacles. Movement is efficient and easy, as is loading equipment or tools.

At ALUCAT, we think that the real cost of a workboat is not the purchase price, but that you spend possibly decades owning and working with it. This is why we chose to build our boats from marine-grade aluminium.

We have engineered our boats to be as durable and low-maintenance as possible, keeping the total cost of ownership low. All parts are easy to replace and update when needed, without long service breaks.

Did you know that all our catamarans are built from marine-grade aluminium 5083, from hull to cabins?

Aluminium is extremely durable, low maintenance, does not rust and provides a long service life. Individual parts are easy to update or replace when needed, without taking the boat out of service for long.

A well-built aluminium boat lasts 25-30 years in professional use. That means less time on maintenance and more time doing the actual work.
