Road Mobility Services collaboration keeps transport moving

In the transport sector, every hour of downtime comes at a cost. That’s why effective collaboration, the right partners, and rapid access to spare parts play a critical role in getting vehicles back on the road as quickly as possible. In addition, the number of specialized vehicles is increasing, and replacement vehicles are often difficult to source—making fast roadside assistance even more essential.

Marko Turunen, CEO of Tarvike-Ahola and part of Road Mobility Services, shares an example where collaboration within the group proved crucial:

“A heavy-duty vehicle was recently immobilized in Hamina due to an issue with brake pressure. At the same time, Mikael Tähtinen, a driver with Liljendal bärgningstjänst, was at Tarvike-Ahola’s spare parts store when the call for assistance was received. Thanks to the driver’s precise description of the problem, combined with Tarvike-Ahola’s expertise and extensive spare parts inventory, the correct part was quickly identified and immediately brought along in the recovery vehicle,” says Marko Turunen.

The spare part was delivered on-site, installed immediately, and the vehicle was back on the road just an hour and a half after the issue occurred. If an on-site repair had not been possible, the recovery vehicle would have transported the vehicle to a workshop without delay.

“Situations like this clearly demonstrate the value of well-coordinated collaboration between the companies within Road Mobility Services. When the right spare part is available quickly, and the organization works seamlessly together, we can get our customers’ vehicles back in operation as fast as possible,” says Marko Turunen.

Success drives success – Køge Truck Stop expands in Denmark

As demand grows, we grow together with our customers!

Køge Truck Stop is now expanding its operations with a new, larger workshop in Næstved, a key step for providing service even closer to transport and logistics companies in South Zealand.

As of June 1, operations will move into modern, purpose-built facilities where a dedicated team will provide service for heavy vehicles- from hydraulic hoses and metal fabrication to a new 24/7 roadside service- always focusing on quality, flexibility, and availability.
