Hyères, you were worth the wait! 🇫🇷🔥

After a two-hour delay, the breeze filled in and the Bay of Hyères delivered everything we came for. Flat water, building westerly winds and three incredible races to kick off the MED season finale!

The Cape 31 International Class are BACK in Palma after our awesome 2025 Europeans. This time at Copa del Rey as part of the ORC fleet. And what a fantastic opening day it was #💥

Competing in a fleet of 21 ORC boats, the Cape 31s showed exactly what they’re capable of, with Niramo finishing Day 1 at the top of the leaderboard. 👏

After Day 1:
🥇 Niramo – 1st
🥉 Django – 3rd
4️⃣ Earlybird – 4th
6️⃣ Firstings – 6th
1️⃣4️⃣ Meerblick – 14th

Today the fleet takes on the coastal race, with plenty still to play for as the regatta continues.

A weekend to remember in Scarlino! 🤩

🥇 Stella Maris claimed their second overall victory of the 2026 Cape 31 Mediterranean Circuit season, this time with 16-year-old stand-in helm Carla Waltersdorfer steering the team to an incredible win.

🥈 La Pericolosa finished second after a hugely consistent performance across the weekend, with the overall victory remaining undecided until the final race.

🥉 Hatari, our Round 2 champions, returned to the podium for the second time this season, continuing an impressive debut campaign.

🏆 Chisum announced themselves in style on their very first Cape 31 event, taking the Corinthian title and a race win in a fantastic debut performance.

After the penultimate race, Nico Delle Karth said Stella Maris would win it—and that’s exactly what happened.

In a regatta that went right down to the wire, Carla and the Stella Maris team secured the overall victory in the final race, holding off La Pericolosa and Hatari in a thrilling finish.

Congratulations to Carla, Nico and the entire Stella Maris team on a fantastic performance, and to every team for delivering an unforgettable event in Scarlino.
