Urgent Reminder: V16 Emergency Light
Grace Period Ended 31st January: Collect Immediately to Avoid Personal Fines

Dear Purple Cars Customer,

If you have not yet collected your V16 emergency light from our Estepona office, please do so as soon as possible.

The official grace period ended on 31st January 2026.

From 1st February 2026 onwards:

- It is a legal requirement for every driver in Spain to carry an approved V16 emergency light.

- If you are stopped by the police without one, the fine (up to €200) will be issued personally to you (the driver).

- Purple Cars is not liable for any fines received after 31st January 2026.

PLEASE ALLOW AN EXTRA 15 MINUTES WHEN YOU COME – WE WILL USE THIS OPPORTUNITY TO CHECK LIGHTS, FLUIDS AND DO A BATTERY TEST.

• Place on the car’s roof in case of breakdown or accident
• Visible up to 1 km away – even in bad weather
• Automatically sends your location to the DGT after 100 seconds
• Replaces the old warning triangles

HOW TO USE IT (takes seconds)

1. Remove plastic tab from battery
2. Press button to activate
3. Place on roof (magnetic)
4. It flashes immediately & sends location after 100 seconds
5. Still call your breakdown service as normal
