☀️ Sometimes, moving isn’t about leaving something behind it’s about creating the life you’ve always imagined.

For S&P, that meant swapping grey skies for sunshine, having the Mediterranean on their doorstep and enjoying a healthier, more relaxed way of life.

In December 2023, they packed up their car and drove from the UK to Málaga, turning the journey into a memorable road trip before starting a brand new chapter in Spain.

Like many people relocating, they faced challenges along the way. Finding a rental property without Spanish employment history isn’t always straightforward, and navigating residency paperwork can quickly become overwhelming. We’re so pleased we could support them throughout the process, helping them secure a home and guiding them through every stage of their relocation.

Today, they’re working remotely from their balcony, making the most of the sunshine and embracing everything life in Málaga has to offer.

☀️ If you’ve recently moved to Spain, don’t be surprised if everything feels a little slower in August.

August is traditionally the main holiday month across Spain, with many people taking annual leave to spend time with family, enjoy the coast or escape the summer heat.

That doesn’t mean the country shuts down far from it.

Restaurants, supermarkets and tourist attractions remain open, but you may notice:

🌴 Some local businesses operating on reduced hours.

📅 Administrative procedures taking a little longer.

📧 Slower responses to emails.

👥 Many professionals taking well-earned holidays.

If you’re planning paperwork, renovations or other projects, it’s worth allowing a little extra time and being patient.

Sometimes slowing down is one of the best parts of life in Spain. 🇪🇸❤️

Finally in Spain and already processing their TIEs, the next day after arrival! 🥳🥳

What a journey for this beautiful family moving from Montana, US, to Spain?! Took almost 5 months to even get an appointment in the SF Consulate, lots of sleepless nights, and anxious thoughts, working on Plans Bs and Cs...but never loosing the faith!
Until the visas finally arrived, right before their planned travel!

Universe is testing us sometimes, but it always has a plan!

When people imagine moving to Spain, they usually picture sunshine, beaches and a slower pace of life.

What they don’t always think about is the emotional side of relocating.
It’s completely normal to feel excited one day and overwhelmed the next.

You might question whether you’ve made the right decision.
You might miss family or feel out of your comfort zone.
Almost every client we work with experiences these feelings.
The important thing is to remember that building a new life takes time.

Be patient with yourself.
One day, you’ll realise Spain feels like home.
