Why do racers swing to the outside before a corner? 🏎️
Because the shortest line isn’t the fastest one. Hug the inside and the turn gets tight, and a tight turn means low speed.
Go wide first: outside, apex, outside. That turns the corner into a bigger circle, and a bigger circle can be taken faster.
Pros also turn in late so they can get on the throttle sooner.
The rule: outside, inside, outside. Turn in late.
