Gen V flexplates cost an arm and a leg. Option is to use LS 8-bolt flexplate ATI915537 witch is 2-3 times cheaper.

Now, Original is dished out about 3mm. Tis one is flat. (crank mating surface to ring gear). So, in order to use it and have starter to ring-gear clearance you will need 3mm spacer between crank and the new flexplate.
But that's simple, just mill down the original flexplate on a lathe and youll end up with correct offset spacer.

For bolts, you can use either ARP set, shorter or longer. Shorter will still have 15+mm of thread contact and the longer will have 1.5mm clearance to the 60-2 trigger ring.

The valves and whole head is mirrored, so:

IT: 12,50deg valve + 2.61deg splayed
EX 12,00deg valve + 2.38deg splayed

+2mm room over valve diameter.

Also, spark plug boss clearance on other side.

I am a big fan of single springs (beehive, conical, etc).
1. Self-dampening harmonics.
2. Lighter(smaller diameter) retainer.

So, my build is getting BTR titanium retainers, that arrived today. OEM 7 degree locks(waste of money to upgrade them for 0.x gram difference). and Comp 7230 conical springs, shimmed up to maximum numbers.

6x Renault Clio II TB-s.

Shaft is 8mm on the throttle lever side and 7.5mm on the sensor side. Both have flats to secure adapters while not changing the angle.

Shaft length is 0.5mm shorter than LS/LT bore spacing of 4.4". Fits like a charm.

Nice cone trumpet side is a big plus also, lower side can be milled to accept V-band.

Let's talk about electronics.

Most of the aftermarket ECU-s can handle injector phasing, witch is a-priori for DI injectors. However, majority of them do not handle the voltages.

Hyundai to the rescue! Hyundai Genesis had "old scool" ECU, but DI engine on their 3.8 V6. So there is a module, that converts usual EV injector pulses for DI voltages.

However, the DI Pump by-pass needs to be controlled with PWM that corresponds to ignition cycles, that is not possible with aftermarket ECU-s. You are stuck with either PFI or running the pump at max pressure all the time.

OK for drag racing, but not for street driving.

The only place I know that can regrind GM cams are delta cam. I did not even bother sending my cam in from EU, the new one was same price from GMDirect as shipping quote, so I just sent them new one for regrind.

LV3 is Off-center motor (Buick guys will understand the meaning) so LS rods are NOT the ones to start with. SBC rods are!

What You'll need is a set of rods for SBC, then you do need to mill down the big end width to fit within the split-crankpin measurements.

As of bearings, no, SBC, LT, LV3 etc will not work. LS ones are too wide, SBC also, LV3 has different tab. The ones that will work are from is GM V6 from the '80-s. the tabs are correct, width is fine etc.
