EST: Petronas on esimene õlitootja maailmas, kes tänu KWOTA'ga liitumisele, maksab kinni oma tootmisega tekkinud CO2 jalajälje!
Petronase süsinikukompenseeritud õlitooted on loodud õlikasutuse süsinikujalajälje vähendamiseks. Iga müüdud liitri õli kohta kompenseerib PETRONAS 1 kg süsinikdioksiidi emissiooni läbi kontrollitud süsinikusäästuprojektide. 1 tonni plasti taaskasutamine väldib 1 tonni CO2 emissiooni.
Kompenseerimisest tulenev tulu suunatakse plasti-, paber- või tekstiilitootjate motiveerimiseks, et suurendada taaskasutatud materjalide hulka tootmises. Seeläbi vähendame toormaterjalide
nõudlust ning suurendame taaskasutatud materjalide nõudlust. See stiimul on vajalik, et koguda, sorteerida, puhastada ja rafineerida jäätmeid, et neid uuesti kasutada uute toodete loomisel. 1 tonni jäätmeplasti taaskasutamine võib vältida ligi 1 tonni süsinikuemissiooni.
Kliendid saavad selle mõju oma aruannetes (ESG) kajastada ning neile pakutakse KPMG poolt auditeeritud sertifikaati.

Petronas carbon compensated oil products are designed to reduce the net carbon footprint of oil usage. For every liter of oil sold, PETRONAS compensates for 1kg of carbon emissions through
verified carbon savings. Reusing 1 tonne of plastics can prevent 1 tonne of CO2 emissions.
Funds are used as an incentive for large plastic, paper or fabrics producers to increase their input of recycled materials for production, decreasing the demand of raw materials which
increases circulation of materials. This incentive is necessary for the collection, sorting, cleaning and refining of these wasted materials to be repurposed into the creation of new goods.
Reusing 1 tonne of wasted plastic can prevent near 1 tonne of carbon emissions.
Customer can report this impact in their reports and will be offered certification which is audited by KPMG.
