The 1938 BSA Gold Star JM 24 is arguably the rarest and most significant of all Gold Stars to produced.

The Gold Star name originated from riders who earned a coveted gold star badge after exceeding 100 mph at the famous Brooklands circuit. What makes the 1938 model particularly rare is the number of unique features produced for that year only. These include a special petrol tank with a built-in toolbox and an ultra-rare magnesium gearbox, details that highlight the focus on performance and weight reduction.

The 3.3 Litre 930 Turbo introduced in 1978 as an upgrade to the first 3.0 Litre Turbo, brought significant refinements and a hike in power that would define the turbocharged 911 legacy. The 930 Turbo 3.3 could accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just over 5 seconds, with a top speed around 257 km/h, impressive figures for its time. Power was delivered through a 4-speed manual gearbox to the rear wheels. The brakes were also upgraded for the 3.3 Litre model.

This 1954 Norton International Clubman M40 is an exceptionally rare and historically significant machine, being one of just three examples built by Norton Motorcycles to full Clubman’s racing specification to compete in the Isle of Man TT that year.

Ridden by Geoff Tanner in the 1954 Junior Clubmans TT to an impressive fifth-place finish, he delivered an outstanding performance, with an average speed of 81.54 mph and setting a remarkable lap at 83 mph—an enduring benchmark for a 350cc International. Tanner’s performance on this machine marked a key moment in his career, as he would go on to achieve further success the following year aboard the legendary Norton Manx, winning both the Junior and Senior Manx Grands Prix.

This rare Norton International Clubman retains all matching numbers, including its rare numbered close-ratio gearbox, and is a highly original example in every respect.
