There’s more to this Jägermeister Porsche 934 than meets the eye.

Chassis 930 670 0168 was one of the most historically significant customer-ordered Porsche 934 Group 4 cars ever built. Delivered brand-new to legendary team owner Max Moritz in 1976, it immediately entered the spotlight in the unmistakable bright orange Jägermeister livery.

That same year, it took a class win at the Nürburgring Eifelrennen, followed by one of its most remarkable results: 3rd overall and 1st in GT+3.0 at the Nürburgring 1000 km, shared by Reinhardt Stenzel, Helmut Kelleners and Derek Bell. It also claimed another podium at the 6 Hours of Monza.

But that was only the beginning.

The car was later upgraded to 934/5 specification and raced by Edgar Dören, before returning to Group 4 and taking on Le Mans. Eventually, its story crossed the Atlantic, where it continued racing in IMSA, culminating in a 9th overall finish at the 1982 Daytona 24 Hours.

Today, 930 670 0168 has been restored to its original Jägermeister colours - bringing one of the most iconic chapters of its long and remarkably varied racing career back to life.

And this photograph captures a moment from the 1976 Nürburgring 1000 km, with the eventual-winning Schnitzer BMW 3.5 CSL right behind it.
