Sand between our toes, smiles on our faces.🏐

Last week, a team from our Gera site hit the court at Gera Beach, the annual beach volleyball festival right on Gera's historic Marktplatz.

How it started? A few years back, some of our colleagues signed up for the Firmencup and had a blast. Then it kind of faded. But when we joined the local company run this year, someone on the team said: "We used to do the volleyball thing too, right? Let's bring that back." And that was all it took.

One colleague pulled the whole thing together, rounded up the team, handled the registration, and then spent the entire tournament on the sideline cheering louder than anyone in the stands.

Did we take home the trophy? No. Did it matter? Not for a second.

Because here's the thing: strong teams aren't only built in meeting rooms and on the shop floor. Sometimes it takes stepping out of your daily routine, diving into the sand for a ball you'll probably miss, and celebrating together when someone actually makes that save. Those are the moments where you see each other differently and where real team spirit grows.

Employee Spotlight: Lars and his mission to shape the next generation 🎯

Sometimes your career path leads you exactly to where you can make the biggest impact. That's how it went for Lars. ✨

About 25 years ago, he started out as an electrician and control cabinet builder, later moved into plant engineering for the automotive industry, programmed robots, became a team leader and went on to help build up further training in automation technology.

Quite a journey, and one that eventually brought him to us. 🚀

Why apprenticeship? 💡
When Lars was looking for a change last year, he had an idea: Instead of continuing in the same direction, he wanted to pass on his know-how to the next generation.

Today, he's guiding our apprentices in electrical engineering at Meleghy Automotive and making sure they don't just study theory, but get hands-on at our equipment right from the start. 🔧

His goal: training that's as close to real working life as possible, building confidence at the machines quickly and getting our apprentices involved in real projects.
Because nothing's more motivating than seeing that your skills are actually needed. 💪

What we love about Lars' story ❤️

It shows that career paths don't have to be straight to be fulfilling. And that at Meleghy Automotive, there's room for exactly these kinds of stories. People who join us with experience, passion and a clear eye on the next generation, and find a fresh start for themselves along the way. ✨

Mitarbeiter im Fokus: Lars und seine Mission Ausbildung 🎯

Manchmal führt der berufliche Weg einen genau dorthin, wo man am meisten bewirken kann. Bei Lars war's genauso. ✨

Vor rund 25 Jahren startete er als Elektriker und Schaltschrankbauer, wechselte später in den Anlagenbau für die Automotive-Branche, programmierte Roboter, wurde Teamleiter und baute später Weiterbildungen im Bereich Automatisierungstechnik mit auf.

Eine ordentliche Reise, die ihn schließlich zu uns geführt hat. 🚀

Warum Ausbildung? 💡
Als Lars im letzten Jahr eine berufliche Veränderung suchte, kam ihm eine Idee:

Statt weiter in seine bisherige Richtung zu gehen, wollte er das, was er kann, an die nächste Generation weitergeben.

Heute begleitet er bei Meleghy Automotive unsere Azubis im Bereich Elektrotechnik und sorgt dafür, dass sie nicht nur Theorie pauken, sondern direkt an unseren Anlagen Hand anlegen können. 🔧

Sein Ziel: möglichst praxisnah ausbilden, schnell Sicherheit im Umgang mit den Maschinen vermitteln und unsere Azubis aktiv in echte Projekte einbinden.

Denn nichts motiviert mehr, als zu sehen, dass das eigene Können wirklich gebraucht wird. 💪

Was uns an Lars' Geschichte besonders gefällt ❤️
Sie zeigt, dass berufliche Wege nicht geradlinig sein müssen, um erfüllend zu sein.
Und dass es bei Meleghy Automotive Raum für genau solche Geschichten gibt. Menschen, die mit Erfahrung, Leidenschaft und einem klaren Blick für die nächste Generation zu uns kommen und dabei selbst nochmal neu durchstarten. ✨

Willkommen im Team💪

Ausbildungsstart bei Meleghy Automotive: Der erste Tag entscheidet oft, wie man ankommt. Deshalb haben wir uns zum Start etwas Besonderes überlegt:

Statt trockener Vorträge und PowerPoint-Marathon gab es einen abwechslungsreichen Mix aus Kennenlernen, Kreativität und einem echten Stationenlauf quer durch das Unternehmen. ✨

17 neue Azubis sind bei uns gestartet und haben den Tag gemeinsam erlebt.

Von der Vorstellungsrunde mit persönlichen Steckbriefen über einen Rundgang mit unseren Abteilungsleiter bis hin zum Stationenlauf zum Thema „Rechte & Pflichten".

Besonders spannend: Beim Punkt „Mein Start bei Meleghy" durften unsere Azubis in einem persönlichen Umschlag festhalten, worauf sie sich freuen, was ihnen vielleicht Respekt macht und was sie sich von ihrer Ausbildung erhoffen.

Diese Gedanken schauen wir uns dann gemeinsam im Drei-Monats-Gespräch nochmal an. Ein kleiner Zeitsprung in die eigene Zukunft sozusagen. 💭

Und weil Ausbildung nie nur die Azubis betrifft 👨‍👩‍👧
Am Nachmittag waren auch die Eltern eingeladen. Bei einem Werksrundgang, an unseren Ausbildungsstationen und im direkten Gespräch mit den Ansprechpartner:innen konnten sie sehen, wo ihre Kinder in den nächsten Jahren durchstarten. Denn ein guter Start braucht nicht nur ein starkes Unternehmen, sondern auch ein starkes Umfeld. 💪

Ein riesiges Willkommen an alle neuen Azubis. Wir freuen uns riesig, dass ihr da seid! 🙌

Ein Team, viele Perspektiven. Zusammenarbeit über Grenzen hinweg. 🌍

Vor Kurzem war unserer Kollege Ricardo zu Besuch bei unseren spanischen Kollegen in Abrera, in der Nähe von Barcelona. Ein Besuch, der einmal mehr gezeigt hat, wie wertvoll internationale Zusammenarbeit bei Meleghy Automotive wirklich ist. ✨

Denn auch wenn sich unsere Standorte in lokalen Herausforderungen, Prozessen und Prioritäten unterscheiden, teilen wir alle dasselbe Ziel: Meleghy Automotive kontinuierlich weiterzuentwickeln und die Zukunft gemeinsam zu gestalten. 🚀

Was auf der Agenda stand: 💡

Digitalisierungsinitiativen, ein intensiver Austausch zu standortspezifischen Themen und echte Einblicke in den Arbeitsalltag der verschiedenen Teams. Von spannenden Gesprächen mit dem Engineering bis hin zu produktiven Diskussionen mit der Werksleitung. Jede Begegnung hat dazu beigetragen, die individuellen Stärken und Perspektiven unserer Organisation besser zu verstehen.
Was besonders hängen geblieben ist? 🤝

Die Offenheit, das Engagement und die Expertise der Menschen vor Ort. Denn persönliche Verbindungen zwischen den Standorten aufzubauen ist mindestens genauso wichtig wie das Angleichen von Technologien und Prozessen. Vertrauen, gegenseitiges Verständnis und eine gemeinsame Vision sind die Basis erfolgreicher internationaler Zusammenarbeit.

Recently, our colleague Ricardo visited our Spanish colleagues in Abrera, near Barcelona. A visit that once again showed just how valuable international collaboration truly is at Meleghy Automotive. ✨
Because even though our locations differ in their local challenges, processes and priorities, we all share the same goal: to continuously develop Meleghy Automotive further and shape the future together. 🚀

What was on the agenda: 💡

Digitalization initiatives, an in-depth exchange on site-specific topics and real insights into the daily work of the different teams. From engaging conversations with engineering to productive discussions with the plant management. Every interaction contributed to a better understanding of the individual strengths and perspectives within our organization.

What stuck with us the most? 🤝
The openness, the commitment and the expertise of the people on site. Because building personal connections between locations is just as important as aligning technologies and processes. Trust, mutual understanding and a shared vision are the foundation of successful international collaboration.

The Gera youth fire brigade 🚒 (Jugendfeuerwehr Gera) has a new trailer.

Already in full use at events, drills and campaigns. And we were able to contribute our part as a supporter. 🙌

But more important than the trailer is what it carries: young people who learn early on what responsibility, teamwork and solidarity really mean.

Exactly the values that matter to us every single day. 🤝

And in case you're wondering where things can go after the youth fire brigade: we offer apprenticeships and we're looking for reinforcements! 🚀

Running shoes instead of safety shoes! 👟

At the 23rd Siegerland AOK Company Run, we — Meleghy Automotive — were back at the starting line! 🏃‍♀️

Warm-up in front of the stage, starting gun at Bismarckplatz, and about an hour later the realization that stamina at work and stamina on the course are two rather different disciplines.

But we all finished. Together. 💪

And that's exactly the point:
Whether it's 5 kilometres or the daily project grind — what counts here is that nobody runs alone. 🤝
And since our team is still growing: we're looking for reinforcements! 🚀

Whether in production, engineering, quality or administration..
And once a year: running shoes. 😉

New training workshop in Reinsdorf: Apprenticeship at its best 🔧⚡

Something big has taken shape at our Reinsdorf location: Our brand-new training workshop has officially started operations, and our first apprentices got to dive right in. 🎉
The focus here is all about electrical engineering.

At our Bernsbach location, we're training apprentices in metal processing at the same time. Both happen on state-of-the-art equipment and machines that our apprentices get to work with from day one.

Theory is great, but hands-on practice just beats it. 💪

What makes this special 💡
Our new apprentices are the first to complete their entire first year of training in-house with us.

That means: We design the content ourselves, tailor the experience to each apprentice individually and make sure everyone learns as close to real working life as possible.

And the workshop itself is still growing. It's being expanded alongside daily operations so we can teach certain topics even better. ✨

A huge thank-you to everyone who helped build this up. Especially to our trainer Karsten for the fantastic preparation and to Torsten for the strong support. 🙌

At Meleghy Automotive, apprenticeship isn't a side project, it's a passion. Because the skilled professionals of tomorrow are being shaped right here. 🚀

Neue Bildungswerkstatt in Reinsdorf: Ausbildung at its best 🔧⚡

Bei uns am Standort Reinsdorf ist was Großes entstanden: Unsere brandneue Bildungswerkstatt hat ihren Betrieb aufgenommen und unsere ersten Azubis durften direkt durchstarten. 🎉

Hier dreht sich alles um den Bereich Elektrotechnik. An unserem Standort in Bernsbach wird parallel in der Metallverarbeitung ausgebildet. Beides an modernsten Anlagen und Maschinen, mit denen unsere Azubis von Anfang an arbeiten können. Theorie ist schön, aber Praxis schlägt eben einfach alles. 💪

Was das Besondere ist 💡
Unsere neuen Auszubildenden sind die ersten, die ihr komplettes erstes Ausbildungsjahr bei uns intern durchlaufen.

Das heißt: Wir gestalten die Inhalte selbst, gehen individuell auf jeden Azubi ein und sorgen dafür, dass alle möglichst nah an der echten Arbeitswelt lernen.

Die Werkstatt selbst wächst übrigens noch mit. Sie wird parallel zum laufenden Betrieb weiter ausgebaut, damit wir bestimmte Themen noch besser vermitteln können. ✨

Ein riesiges Dankeschön geht an alle, die beim Aufbau mitgewirkt haben. Besonders an unseren Ausbilder Karsten für die super Vorbereitung und an Torsten für die starke Unterstützung. 🙌

Bei Meleghy Automotive ist Ausbildung kein Nebenschauplatz, sondern Herzensthema. Denn die Fachkräfte von morgen entstehen genau hier. 🚀

„Und, was willst du mal werden?" 🤔

Meistens kommt sie irgendwann zwischen Mathehausaufgaben und der großen Pause... und meistens hat man keine Ahnung, was man darauf antworten soll. 😅

Genau hier setzen die AWU-Ausbildungstage an der Haupt- und Realschule Wilnsdorf an. Und wir sind dabei! 🙌

Am 24. Juni und 9. Juli sind wir vor Ort und stellen den Schülerinnen und Schülern unsere Ausbildungsberufe bei Meleghy Automotive vor.

Ehrliche Einblicke, echte Gespräche und die Chance, Fragen zu stellen, die sonst oft offenbleiben:

🔧 Wie sieht ein Arbeitstag wirklich aus?
🚗 Was macht man eigentlich in der Automobilzulieferindustrie?
