🇩🇪🏁 Formula Student Germany 2026 Recap

What a week at Hockenheimring! 🔥

From scrutineering and intense preparation to acceleration, skidpad, autocross and endurance — FS Germany 2026 had it all.

This year, we put a strong focus on development and completely new design concepts. With so much effort going into creating and improving our car, we came to Hockenheimring well prepared for challenges.

And challenges we definitely faced. But we kept pushing, adapted where we could and gave it our best until the very end. Every lap, every adjustment and every late night in the pits gave us valuable experience and showed us where we can improve.

Here’s how we performed:

⚙️ Engineering Design: 95.00 points
💰 Cost & Manufacturing: 87.00 points
💼 Business Plan: 52.90 points
🏁 Acceleration: 48.44
🏁 DV Acceleration: 63.36
🛞 Skidpad: 21.07
🛞 DV Skidpad: DNF
Autocross: 44.78
⏱️ Endurance: DNF

While endurance didn’t go the way we had hoped, we’re still incredibly proud to have brought such a newly developed and redesigned car to Hockenheimring and pushed it to its limits.

This event was a huge learning experience for all of us. We faced challenges, learned a lot about our car and ourselves as a team, and gained valuable insights that will shape our development going forward.

We’re proud of what we built, proud of how we handled the challenges and, most importantly, proud of the team behind it. ❤️🖤

A huge thank you to everyone who supported us throughout the season — our amazing team, partners and supporters. We couldn’t have done it without you. 🏁

First stickers secured, next stop: the track. 🏁🇩🇪

The first days at Formula Student Germany have been all about preparations and scrutineering - and our sticker collection is growing. After completing Mechanical Scrutineering yesterday, we successfully passed Electrical Scrutineering today. Together with our Accumulator and DV stickers, that makes four checks off the list. ✅

Next up are the Rain Test, Brake Test and EBS Test as we get closer to being fully ready for Dynamics.

Meanwhile, the Practice Area opens today and it’s also time for the Static Events:
📊 EDE & Cost | 12:30–15:30
💼 Business Plan | 16:30

The track might still be empty today, but not for much longer - Dynamics start tomorrow, and it’s finally time to get our DV car on track. 👀🏎️

What a week. What a way to start our Formula Student season. 🇨🇿🏁

Our first competition of the season didn’t quite unfold the way we had hoped. A few technical challenges early in the event meant that we couldn’t show our potential in the Driverless disciplines and had to adapt our plans throughout the week. Still, the team kept working, solving problems, and making improvements day by day.
One of the highlights was Acceleration, where we achieved 3rd place with a time of 3.54 s - a result that showed what our car is capable of when everything comes together.

Alongside the dynamic events, we successfully completed scrutineering and received valuable feedback in the static disciplines:
⚙️ Engineering Design: 109.1 points
💰 Cost & Manufacturing: 80.4 points
💼 Business Plan: 42.5 points

On the final day, we successfully completed Endurance, 22 laps including the mandatory driver change, with a total time of 26:53.75 and a best lap of 1:07.49. Unfortunately, a post-scrutineering issue resulted in a disqualification, meaning the result did not count in the final standings. While that was disappointing, finishing the race itself gave us valuable input and confirmed that the car can perform over the full distance.

Every competition comes with lessons to learn, and Formula Student Czech was no exception. We leave with plenty of experience and even more motivation for what’s ahead.

A big thank you to our sponsors, supporters, volunteers, judges, and everyone who made this event possible. Now it’s time to take what we’ve learned, keep improving, and get ready for FSS | Formula Student Spain . 🇪🇸

Day 6/7 at Formula Student Czech 🇨🇿🏁

Yesterday was all about the dynamic events: Acceleration, Skidpad and Autocross.

We started the day with a strong 3rd place in Acceleration, setting a time of 3.54 s. In Skidpad, we recorded a 5.5 s time. Unfortunately, due to time constraints, we were only able to set times with one driver.

During the lunch break, the team prepared everything for Autocross. While we couldn’t show our full potential in the first runs, we kept improving throughout the session. Our final run was our strongest, with an uncorrected time of 52.87 s, making us the 8th fastest team in that run. Unfortunately, two cone penalties kept us from achieving an even better result.

The static event results are also in:
⚙️ Engineering Design: 109.1 points
💰 Cost & Manufacturing: 80.4 points
💼 Business Plan: 42.5 points

One final challenge remains: Endurance today. Let’s finish the competition strong! 🏎️❤️

Halfway through our first competition of the season at Formula Student Czech Republic! 🇨🇿🏎️

The first days have been packed with inspections, presentations, and valuable experiences. We have now successfully completed all scrutineering disciplines except EBS, meaning we’re almost ready to hit the track!

Our Business Plan, Cost Report, and Engineering Design Event are all behind us. We received valuable feedback from the judges and are looking forward to the final results.

Now it’s time for what we’ve all been working towards: driving. We’re excited to finally get on track, tackle the dynamic events, and see what the rest of the week has in store. From Skidpad and Acceleration to the remaining disciplines and Driverless, there’s still a lot to look forward to.

We’re grateful to be here at Formula Student Czech Republic, representing our team at our first event of the season, and we can’t wait for what’s next. Stay tuned! ❤️
