Competition Update Formula Student Germany 2026

The first major milestones are complete!

We successfully completed all Statics:
✓ Engineering Design
✓ Cost and Manufacturing
✓ Business Plan

We also successfully passed technical inspections:
✓ Accumulator Inspection
✓ Electrical Inspection
✓ Mechanical Inspection
✓ Autonomous Inspection
✓ Brake Test

A strong start to Formula Student Germany. A lot of work has gone into getting here as a team. Now we stay focused and keep pushing.

From Formula Student to professional engineering.

We talked to about the connection between Formula Student and the industry and took a closer look at polyurethane foam along the way.

We finished Formula Student Austria with an overall P14 in EV.

We achieved P10 in Acceleration, P10 in Skidpad and P15 in Autocross.

In addition we’re proud of P19 in our Business Plan, P6 in Cost Planning and P15 in Engineering Design.

Sadly we got disqualified in Endurance and Efficiency in the Post Scruti.

Huge thanks to our partners, alumni and supporters for the assistance. Without that these great results wouldn’t have been possible.

We've been at FSA since Saturday, and the past few days have been packed with milestones.
On Sunday, we successfully passed Accumulator Scrutineering and Mechanical Scrutineering.
Yesterday, we continued our progress by passing E Scrutineering, Pre-Inspection, the Rain Test, Tilt Test, and Brake Test. Making us the first team to complete all scrutineering successfully.
Today is all about the static events. We've already presented our Business Plan Presentation. Now there are Engineering Design as well as Cost Judging on the schedule. Alongside that, we're making the most of every opportunity to get valuable testing in.
We're feeling confident, learning with every run, and can't wait for the dynamic disciplines to begin.

Get to know the PWx26 - Part 4: Flamingo PCB

The Flamingo printed circuit board is an essential part of the PWx26's electrical system. It combines multiple important functions into a single board, with its primary role being power distribution and monitoring of our low-voltage supply. Beyond that, it also covers CAN logging and sensor inputs, keeping critical systems powered and performing reliably.

Get to know the PWx26 - Part 2: DV System

The DV system of our PWx26 forms the foundation of our autonomous performance, taking a massive leap forward this year with the integration of a new dual-camera setup.
Incorporated into our perception architecture, this upgrade significantly expands the vehicle's field of view.
It serves as a core element of our vision pipeline, allowing the system to process the car's surroundings with maximum clarity and speed.

Maximizing our visual awareness is a key step towards a faster and more reliable autonomous race car.

Get to know the PWx26 - Part 1: Rear Wing

The rear wing of our new car delivers the same amount of downforce as the one on its predecessor, despite being positioned 10 cm lower.
Thanks to a completely new manufacturing concept, we managed to reduce its weight by 700 g compared to last year's design.
Additionally, the implementation of Gurney flaps and outer flaps further enhances the aerodynamic efficiency of our package.
Achieving the same performance with less weight is a key step towards a faster and more efficient race car.
