🔥 Error of the month at Hella Gutmann: If the parking aid fails, it isn’t always down to a faulty sensor.
⚠️ On a Skoda Karoq 1.0 TSI, engine code DKRF, built in 2022, the front parking aid suddenly stopped working. Despite fault code entries and a thorough inspection of cables, connectors and sensors, the cause initially remained unclear. It was only a crucial tip from the Hella Gutmann Technical Call Centre that provided the solution: the parking aid control unit is located unprotected in the driver’s footwell – an accidentally disconnected 18-pin connector was enough to trigger the fault. Plug correctly engaged, function checked – problem resolved.
A real-life example that shows: experience, technical know-how and the right tip at the right time save valuable diagnostic time.
