A great photo of Colin and Jimmy at Silverstone, where on the 10th July 1965, Clark raced the Type 33 to his fourth consecutive British victory.

Clark secured pole position for the race, but Richie Ginther briefly pulled ahead at the start in his Honda RA272. The two then went into Copse corner side by side, with Ginther emerging in front… Clark took back the lead on Hangar Straight, then finished the opening lap comfortably in the lead.

Clark, however, would not have the race all his own way. Significant mechanical issues hampered Jimmy’s race towards the end, but he managed to nurse his struggling car home whilst keeping a charging Graham Hill behind. Hill set a new lap record in his determined effort to catch Clark, but remarkably Jimmy stayed ahead, with an officially declared lead of 3.2 seconds at the finish line.
