REHACARE 2026
– und API ist wieder dabei!

Vom 23. bis 26. September 2026 wird Düsseldorf wieder zum Treffpunkt der Reha-, Pflege- und Hilfsmittelbranche – und natürlich ist API Deutschland wieder mit dabei!

Auf der REHACARE kommen Hersteller, Dienstleister, Verbände und Fachkräfte aus Rehabilitation, Pflege, Therapie und Versorgung zusammen. Für uns die perfekte Gelegenheit, unsere Fahrzeuglösungen zu zeigen, uns auszutauschen und gemeinsam über individuelle Mobilität zu sprechen. Zumal wir mit unseren Konzepten bestens zum diesjährigen Motto „selbstbestimmt leben“ passen. Urlaubszeit!

Mit einem umgebauten Fahrzeug von API kommt ihr natürlich auch ganz entspannt bis zum Flughafen – auch wenn es (leider 😉) nicht mit ins Flugzeug passt.

So funktionieren moderne Inklusionslösungen. Denn das sieht nicht nur gut aus, sondern ist auch sicher und praktisch in der Bedienung und Nutzung.
 Intelligente LED-Anzeige:
Farbige Lichtsignale zeigen sofort an, ob die Rampe sicher verriegelt, korrekt geladen oder einsatzbereit ist.

Die Rampe lässt sich elektronisch per Knopfdruck öffnen und schließen – komplett ohne schwere mechanische Hebel.

A highlight – not just at night, but especially then: arrive in style at events, appointments, or social gatherings with our GlowSafe ramp. This is what modern inclusion solutions look like. It’s not just about aesthetics; the system is also safe and practical to operate and use. 
Intelligent LED display: Colored light signals instantly indicate whether the ramp is securely locked, correctly stowed, or ready for use.
Effortless control: The ramp opens and closes electronically at the touch of a button—eliminating the need for heavy mechanical levers.
Patented rear-impact protection: In the event of a rear-end collision, the system redirects impact forces into the vehicle structure, significantly enhancing safety for the wheelchair passenger.

We at API developed and manufactured this system ourselves, and it is available for various popular minivans and vans (e.g., Ford Tourneo Custom, VW Transporter/Caravelle).

Großes Interesse an unseren Mobilitätslösungen auf der in Lyon in der vergangenen Woche!

Mit gleich fünf Fahrzeugen präsentierten wir die Vielfalt unseres Programms: den Rifter, den Caddy Maxi L, den Caddy Maxi XL sowie zwei Ford Custom mit Glowsafe. Außerdem zeigten wir den innovativen InQline-Gurt von mit integrierter Winde – für noch mehr Komfort und Sicherheit im Alltag.

Gemeinsam mit unseren Partnern , .c.a_france und konnten wir uns über zahlreiche spannende Gespräche und das große Interesse an unseren Produkten freuen.

Great interest in our mobility solutions at the Handica Show in Lyon last week!

With five vehicles on display, we showcased the versatility of our portfolio: the Rifter, the Caddy Maxi L, the Caddy Maxi XL, and two Ford Custom models equipped with the FlexiRamp Glowsafe. We also presented the innovative InQline wheelchair securement system from Q’Straint, featuring an integrated winch for enhanced comfort, independence, and safety.

Together with our partners VBM France, ACA France, and Dietrich Véhicules, we enjoyed many valuable conversations and were delighted by the strong interest in our products and solutions.

API unterwegs – deutschlandweit im Einsatz!

Seit letzter Woche und auch in dieser Woche sind wir wieder in ganz Deutschland unterwegs. Auf dem Plan stehen Besuche bei Kundinnen und Kunden, Termine bei Zulieferern sowie Abstimmungen rund um Fahrzeugumbauten und neue Mobilitätslösungen.

Unter anderem führt uns die Tour auch nach Baden-Württemberg. Der direkte Austausch vor Ort ist für uns unverzichtbar, um individuelle Anforderungen kennenzulernen und gemeinsam die passenden Mobilitätslösungen zu finden.

Wir freuen uns auf viele interessante Gespräche, neue Impulse und spannende Projekte entlang der Strecke.

Laden statt tanken – ganz zeitgemäß.

Mit der Elektroversion vom Caddy zeigt sich einmal mehr, worum es bei API von Anfang an ging: maximale Flexibilität für die Mobilität unserer Kunden – unabhängig von der Antriebsart.

Ob klassisch, hybrid oder vollelektrisch – wir denken Umbauten immer so, dass sie auf nahezu jeder Basis funktionieren. Auch dort, wo Akkus eigentlich Grenzen setzen, finden wir Lösungen, die im Alltag bestehen.

Das verstehen wir unter Technologieoffenheit: nicht in Kategorien denken, sondern in Möglichkeiten – und Fahrzeuge so zu entwickeln, dass sie sich den Anforderungen anpassen. Gerade jetzt zeigt sich, wie wichtig genau dieser Ansatz ist: conversions without limits!

Während andere Eier suchen, sind wir schon unterwegs: API on Tour – und das an Ostern. Mit dabei: gleich zwei starke Lösungen auf Basis des VW Caddy.

Ein Hybrid Caddy Maxi sowie ein brandneu umgebauter VW Caddy Maxi mit XL-Wanne bis zur zweiten Sitzreihe – maximale Flexibilität trifft auf durchdachte Mobilität. Entstanden sind diese Impressionen rund um die Burg Steinsberg in Sinsheim – ein perfekter Zwischenstopp mit Aussicht.

Was bleibt?
Mobilität, die mitdenkt. Lösungen, die funktionieren. Und ein Team, das auch an Feiertagen nicht stillsteht.

While others are hunting for Easter eggs, we’re already on the move: APi on tour – even during the holidays.

On board: two strong solutions based on the Volkswagen Caddy Maxi. A hybrid Caddy Maxi and a brand-new converted Caddy Maxi featuring an XL lowered floor up to the second row – combining maximum flexibility with smart mobility. These impressions were captured around Burg Steinsberg in Sinsheim – the perfect stop with a view.

What remains?
Mobility that thinks ahead. Solutions that work. And a team that never stands still – not even on holidays.

Zu Gast bei der Salon Autonomic in Toulouse – gemeinsam mit unserem Partner VBM France .

Ein besonderes Highlight: die Frankreich-Premiere unserer Flexiramp Glowsafe im Ford Motor Company Custom. Ergänzt wurde der Messeauftritt durch einen Rifter sowie einen Volkswagen Caddy Maxi XL mit Heckausschnitt bis zur zweiten Sitzreihe – praxisnah, durchdacht und konsequent auf Mobilität im Alltag ausgerichtet.

Wir nehmen viele spannende Eindrücke und positive Rückmeldungen mit. Vielen Dank an alle Besucherinnen und Besucher für den intensiven Austausch und das große Interesse.

Visiting Autonomic in Toulouse – together with our partner VBM France.

A particular highlight: the French premiere of our FlexiRamp Glowsafe in the Ford Custom. The trade fair presentation was complemented by a Rifter and a VW Caddy Maxi XL with a rear cutout extending to the second row of seats – practical, well-designed, and consistently geared towards everyday mobility.
