The next generation of automotive talent – all in one place. 🔧🏁

After four intensive months, the Young Car Mechanic journey reached its highlight at the Grand Final in Riga. Europe’s top 15 young mechanics came together to compete, solve real workshop challenges and demonstrate their skills under real conditions.

Precision, technical knowledge and full focus in every task – it became clear that the future of the automotive aftermarket is already taking shape today.

In the end, the winner from Bulgaria secured first place, followed by the runners-up from Ukraine and Lithuania. 🏆

But this competition is about more than rankings. It highlights how important strong vocational training, hands-on experience and the continuous development of young talent are for the future of our industry.

We are proud to support this initiative and to contribute to shaping the next generation in the aftermarket.

Experience the future of the industry first hand at the Young Car Mechanic National Finals 2026

Young talents from 15 European countries have come together to prove their skills in demanding challenges and show what the next generation of mechanics is capable of.

After weeks of regional qualifiers and national competitions, the best participants from each country have now been selected.

We are proud to support this journey together with our Elring team, including our Product Manager, Technical Trainer and Sales Manager, who challenged the participants and shared valuable insights from real workshop practice.

The young mechanics have already shown impressive performance, but the biggest challenge is still ahead.

⚠️ Localised oil leaks can occur on Euro 6 VW Group vehicles with 1.6 / 2.0 l TDI EA288 engines (model year 2012 onwards) at the plastic housing of the radial shaft seal. Elring supplies the radial shaft seal with housing. It is installed at the front.
