It was over a pint at the Grenadier pub, in London, that car enthusiast, adventurer, and INEOS Chairman, Sir Jim Ratcliffe, first identified a gap in the market for a stripped-back, utilitarian 4X4. That vision to build a no-nonsense off-roader engineered to overcome all conditions and withstand daily punishment is now a reality. It started with 20 Grenadiers in a field in Queensland.

Nearly three years later, the club has grown to more than 180 owners across Queensland and New South Wales.

Pub runs, training weekends and trips to places like Cape York have kept the club moving. This year, at least 25 Grenadiers from across Australia are set to cross the Simpson Desert.

Safe to say, the diary fills up quickly.
