Three Historic Formula Ford cars crossed the line within just 0.044 seconds at the HSCC Silverstone Finals Silverstone over the weekend!⏱️🏁

Jacques Jensen took Sunday’s victory in his Merlyn Mk20A, with Callum Grant just 0.032 seconds behind and Oliver Chapman a further 0.012 seconds back. It was the closest finish of a remarkable weekend for Jensen, who had also won Saturday’s race by 0.187 seconds. Two races, two wins, and plenty of wheel-to-wheel action showed why Historic Formula Ford remains such compelling racing.

Congratulations to Benn Simms who claimed the Championship honours and of course, the Historic Sports Car Club, for another superb season of classic motorsport.

Team Legacy takes British hillclimbing to Croatia! 🇬🇧🇭🇷

Damien Bradley and his Team Legacy Subaru will line up at the Bongo Monsters Hillclimb on 16-18 October, flying the flag as the first UK entrant to compete on this highly impressive European stage.

The 6th Bongo Hillclimb Monsters event, taking place in Skradin Croatia, is expected to feature approximately 75 specially selected competition cars from across Europe, bringing together some of the continent’s most extreme racing machinery, including highly modified closed-bodied and four-wheel-drive saloons.

Ahead of the event, we caught up with Damien at the final round of the British Hillclimb Championship Tin Top Challenge, to touch on the demands presented by this unique and unfamiliar course, the preparation involved and his hopes for a successful weekend.

The formidable Subaru will once again compete on specialist Avon Motorsport tyres, supplied by , as Team Legacy takes on an exciting new European challenge.

Nova Motorsport is proud to be named Official Tyre Partner of the PartsForCars.ie Irish Rallycross Championship (IRX) in a new multi-year agreement with Mondello Park and Euro M-Sport.

From Rounds 3 and 4 of the 2026/27 season, Nova Motorsport will become the exclusive tyre supplier for the Supercar, Super Buggies and FIA Cross Car classes.

Supercar competitors will race on the legendary Nova ACB11 – a tyre with 10 FIA World Rallycross Championship titles to its name – while Super Buggies and FIA Cross Car will use the all-new Nova ZZXC, our first clean-sheet competition tyre.

With Euro M-Sport providing expert trackside supply and fitting at every IRX event, the partnership combines proven rallycross heritage, next-generation tyre technology and dedicated competitor support.

The weekend saw yet another record for Damien Bradley and Team Legacy UK – this time in the finale of the 2026 British Hillclimb Championship Tin Top Challenge.

Damien delivered a standout climb in the Subaru Legacy, winning the opening run-off with a 41.73s time – the fastest ever recorded by a tin-top .

Behind the results is a huge team effort, with Damien’s long-time friend and teammate Steven Darley playing a key role through his in-car feedback and engineering experience, continuing to refine the Legacy’s development.

This sets the team up nicely for the Bongo Hillclimb Monsters event in Croatia next month.

A big thank you goes to our service partner for supplying the 046 compounds for the run and for their excellent support throughout the season.

The Dijon Motors Cup is underway at Circuit Dijon-Prenois and it’s great to see HVM Racing director and series promoter Laurent Vallery-Masson combining his role behind the scenes with some dedicated track time.

Laurent is competing in the F2 Classic Interseries aboard the striking blue no 22 1977 March 77B Formula 2 – driving French historic motorsport forward in more ways than one! Friday’s programme combines free practice and qualifying for the F2 field, before the action steps up with Race 1 on Saturday and Race 2 on Sunday.

Nova Motorsport is proud to support HVM Racing and its historic racing programme by providing period-correct competition tyres, helping to keep an extraordinary range of historic machinery doing what it was built to do – race.

Trackside support is on-hand through our specialist service partner , providing tyre support and technical expertise throughout the weekend.

Nova Motorsport USA Manager Ken Payne is at Lime Rock Park this weekend for the 44th Historic Festival, one of North America’s great celebrations of historic motorsport, with Alfa Romeo taking centre stage as this year’s featured marque.

With an outstanding field spanning decades of racing history, Ken will be catching up with drivers, teams, customers and friends from across the US historic racing community.

Many competitors have elected to race on Avon Motorsport tyres, continuing the brand’s long-standing association with historic competition around the world. 🛞🇺🇸🌎

There’s a story behind every car on the Sixties’ Endurance grid — and car no 9 racing at the Le Mans Classic Series legendary Dix Mille Tours event Circuit Paul Ricard has much to tell.

The 1963 Shelby Cobra 289 of Alain and Yves Vögele carries both history and family continuity into this weekend’s racing. The no 9 Cobra has been a familiar sight in Sixties’ Endurance competition over the years, with members of the Vögele family continuing to campaign one of the most iconic GT cars of the 1960s.

Paul Ricard has also been a happy hunting ground for the car. In 2024, the no 9 Cobra finished an impressive third overall at the Dix Mille Tours, underlining its pace against a highly competitive field of historic GT machinery.

That performance potential has been evident again this weekend, with some of the highest average speeds seen during practice across the entire Sixties’ Endurance field.

With its unmistakable V8 soundtrack, formidable straight-line performance and years of competition history behind it, the no 9 Cobra remains a car to watch whenever it takes to the track.

Competing on Avon Motorsport tyres also sees a continuation of a longstanding racing relationship between two iconic names, each synonymous with the golden era of GT competition.
