Last weekend, the time had finally come👏🏼—the Vectra was on the dyno at . Unfortunately, we ran into some initial “problems”—the new large 980cc fuel injectors didn’t fit as well as we’d hoped, so we had to keep going with the old 630cc Deka injectors for the time being😒. Of course, that wasn’t the only thing that caused a bit of trouble—the crankshaft sensor also failed just before we were done, so we continued early Saturday morning after replacing it. Long story short: I’m very, very happy with the result. Tobi knows his craft like no one else and poured all his passion and expertise into the Vectra, getting it almost perfect. Thank you so much for your patience and the outstanding work—and of course, a big thank you to you and Arno for letting us use the dynamometer. Once I’ve finished up a few things at home, we’ll continue our quest for more power next year with the large fuel injectors and see what we can achieve.
It was a great weekend full of impressions and experiences, and I learned a lot.
Preliminary results:
427.3 Ps and 492.7 nm—all at
1.45 bar of boost pressure!
The Vectra drives like it’s never driven before! Thanks!
