Freshly washed and ready for the very first meetup since the accident. A huge thank you to everyone who helped out, and a special thanks
goes to my partner, who worked hard and got her hands dirty, and had to put up with my sometimes bad moods over the car.

After a whole lot of unexpected problems, we can finally take the first proper—and hopefully stress-free—test drive. Of course, we’re heading to the nearest car wash because she really needs and deserves it!

Was all the effort and stress worth it? Absolutely!

There are still a few minor things to take care of, of course, but a construction site in Germany is never really finished 😂🤷🏼‍♂️

The Diva is ready for her annual inspection 🥳. Brand-new tires, the battery retainer plate is welded into the trunk, the ABS is finally working again, and last but not least: a big thank you to my partner, who took the entire interior apart and reupholstered the headliner and A-pillar trim with new fabric 💪🏼 Hats off to her for the work and the help 👌🏼

Of course, there will be even better photos showing how it looks after being washed in the fresh air. 🙈

The time has finally come—the Vectra is visually assembled except for the side skirts and trim strips. Now I have to take care of the remaining items, such as the ABS, which unfortunately cannot be read out or flashed, which is a fault, and a set of new summer tires, and then nothing will stand in the way of the general inspection.

The goal is to finally be back on the road in April.

And once again, I have to thank so many people who have accompanied me on this difficult journey, whether it was direct help with the car or taking care of everything else!

I appreciate every bit of help and I don’t even know how I can repay you all 😂

Just a few minor details left and nothing will stand in the way of the biennial general inspection. The hood now fits almost perfectly (photo was taken beforehand 🙈) and the headliner is also waiting for its new fabric, but it needs to get a little warmer for that.

We’re stepping on the gas so we can be there in time for the first meetings.
