greenBEAR

VDE E-Race Day3:
Since we were still having technical issues with the car, we unfortunately couldn’t compete in the E-Race. But that didn’t stop us from heading over to the Dynamic Area to cheer on the other teams during their runs.

In the evening, we went to the award ceremony and were able to win two awards right away, which we’re bringing back to Berlin.

- 1st place: BPP
- 3rd place: CME

We had an absolutely amazing time at the E-Race and once again gathered valuable feedback for the statics and scrutineering. We’re already looking forward to next year.

Day 2 of VDE E-Race.
Today we passed our mechanical and accumulator scrutineerings on the second try, after the had the first round yesterday and used the time throughout the day to fix the remaining problems. We also participated in our two last static events, CME and BPP, where we already got great feedback from.

Sadly we will not be able to drive at the event, since we have some electrical issues, which are easier to resolve in our workshop.
But this didnt stop us from taking part in the night acceleration. Not with our BEAR26, but with our BEAR26.5.

Day 1 of the VDE E-Race. Today on the agenda was the Engineering Design Event, our mechanical and accumulator inspection and lastly we took a panoramic picture with all the other teams.

Sadly we didn’t passed any inspections, but there were only minor flaws that we will fix throughout the night and the next day. We can’t wait for what the next days will bring.🔥

Just because it was so wonderful.
Here are a few more moments from our rollout.
A big thank you to all the sponsors, university staff, friends, and family who came out to experience and celebrate this evening with us. And yes, our team captain got a little wet again this season.

After weeks of hard work and plenty of pasta with pesto, it was finally time to eat something decent off the grill again, so a big thank you goes out to JackFood for providing us with vegan sausages.

Huge shoutout to .official for sponsoring the team with the incredible Makera Carvera Desktop CNC.

Having this beauty right in our workshop changes the game for the BEAR26. We can now mill custom parts out of aluminum and other materials completely on the fly! No more long waiting times for outsourced components. If we test something and need to adapt a part immediately, we just update the CAD, generate the toolpaths, and fire up the CNC. Seeing those metal chips fly and holding a freshly machined, shiny part in your hands right in our own shop is just an unbeatable feeling.

New car. New season. Same passion. 🔥
After countless hours in the workshop, we finally unveiled our new family member: the BEAR26! A big shoutout to Berliner Pilsner for making our rollout unforgettable with their new Mildes Lager, which was the best reward for the team after months of hard work. We couldn't have asked for a better partner to celebrate this milestone with! 🍻

Note: We love speed on the track, but safety always comes first. Don’t drink and drive!
