Building a car is a long way.
With our Hydro Gen One, a three wheeled car, we want to get our idea of a simple and sustainable drivetrain as fast as possible on the road!
We‘re already working on the chassis, stay tuned for pictures from the building process!

The Startup & Innovation Day at the Darmstadtium, organized by the technical university of Darmstadt, was a great event for us to manifest our company and our project in our direct surroundings. We had some very productive conversations with industry representatives, students and potential supporters. Very interesting keynotes by top speakers like Frank Thelen rounded off the day. We’re already excited for next year!

• The (german) automotive industry is having a innovation crisis like never before. Nearly all potential of conventional combustion engines is exploited; the world is screaming for sustainability. But investments in alternative car concepts fail to appear. Now, years a after Tesla proved them wrong in feasebility, they are trying to enter the electric vehicles market. These big stock-listed companies are too riskaverse, in fear of losing short-term profits. We want to use these unexploited opportunities and change the way of future mobility.

There are 8 plants in germany producing hydrogen out of wind energy.
This power-to-gas process uses energy which is else lost becuase of shutting down windparks.
: As sometimes wind blows faster and sometimes slower, in times of fast wind blowing, wind turbines are shut off. Else there woud be an overcapacity of energy in the power grid. This overcapacity cant be saved in impossible huge batteries. The solution is to use this energy in electrolysis plants which produce hydrogen.
In this way we save energy in form of hydrogen and can use it to provide hydrogen on fuel stations.
Next year 9 new clean hydrogen plants are going to be introduced in 2020, so that the market is currently exponentially growing.

Market analyses and estimates remark that Chinese companies represent 80% of the worldwide batterycell manufacturers.*

This indicates that most of the current battery-electric vehicles are built on scarce ressources which ultimately create geopolitical issues. Additionally there's no big trend towards european innovation in these areas, as many experts (e.g. Frank Thelen) tell. Our mission at HTM is to push innovation and value-generation further. This could be our future,
our Hydro Gen One at one of the HTM hyrdrogen stations.
: During the process of fueling, the hydrogen is compressed to 700 bar in extreme carbon reinforced high pressure tanks.
To refuel one of our cars takes up only 3-5 minutes.

We know, that hydrogen is going to be the energy source of the future.
Not just because it’s easy to produce, or because of its good storage abilities and its great sustainability in comparison to other energy sources like batteries. Most importantly, with our system, we will be able to build up infrastructure, where none is present at the moment. This is why we are planning to release our vehicles first of all to the european market, so that we can further develop the system, together with our partners. We have scheduled cooperations with providers of sustainable hydrogen in Germany. Hydrogen, which is for example generated during an overload of the electricity network by wind turbines. Our long term goal is to establish a fair, easy and robust solution for developing countries, to exponentially improve the global total score of sustainability.
