HERMES (hybrid educational recuperative moto electric special) vehicle is a student project from Department for Mechanisation and Construction Engineering, FTN Novi Sad, Serbia. The aim of the project is to creat a vehicle that will bring closer the idea and principles of functioning a hybrid vehicle to youngsters, teenagers and students. First car - the idea is to make HERMES the first vehicle to
counter with in order to get closer with principles of steering a vehicle.
2. Hybrid vehicle - as hybrid and electric cars are making their place in the vehicle world, HERMES will try to provide basic knowledge about how hybrid cars function.
3. Naked car - the car body will be made of Lexan, a transparent polycarbonate, and this will allow better learning possibilities. The frame is going to be made as a space frame with round bars. Front drive is going to be consisted of 2 electric motors, one in each front wheel, power of 1 kW. For the rear drive, a 125 ccm combustion engine will be used with a manual transmission. There will be two seats, for the learner and for the supervisor. Beacuse of the security, there will be double brake comands, for the learner and for the supervisor.

HERMES (Hibridno edukativno rekuperativno moto električno specijalno) vozilo je studentski projekat Departmana za mehanizaciju i konstrukciono mašinstvo, FTN Novi Sad, Srbija. HERMES vozilo je namenjeno za edukaciju mladih. Tri glavna zadatka projekta su:
1. Ideja je da HERMES bude prvo vozilo sa kojim bi se omladina susrela, vozilo koje bi im približilo princip upravljanja putničkim vozilom.
2. Druga svrha HERMESA je da upozna omladinu sa konceptom hibridnog vozila zbog upotrebe elektromotora za prednji pogon i SUS motora za zadnji pogon.
3. Kako će se forsirati modifikovani princip naked vozila, tj. koristiće se Lexan providne obloge za oplatu vozila, moći će da se neposredno posmatra funkcionisanje sistema.
Šasija će biti izrađena od bešavnih cevi kao space frame. Kao pogon prednjih točkova, koristiće se elektromotori u točkovima, snage 1 kW svaki. Za pogon zadnjih točkova je ideja da se koristi SUS agregat 125 ccm, 4-takt, sa mehaničkom transmisijom kako bi se napravilo vozilo što je moguće približnije standardnom putničkom vozilu. Postojaće dva sedišta, za učenika i supervizora, kao i duple komande za kočenje radi sigurnosti.
