1. The backplate will fall off.
There are two main reasons for this kind of problem: one is that the backplate and friction material have cracks; The second is that the friction material itself has cracks. Both of these reasons caused the backplate to fall off. Therefore, if you want to solve this problem, do not use too high temperature for related operations, and do not use incorrect ways to install, so as to effectively avoid the occurrence of the phenomenon of the backplate of the friction plate material falling off.

2. Sluggish braking.
First of all, the spring needs to be inspected to see if there is any malfunction; Improper clearance between the brake pad and the brake disc will also be affected, so the distance between the gap needs to be adjusted accordingly.
The newly installed brake pads will also have the phenomenon of soft brakes, because the brake pads do not meet the standards, so the brake pads need to be replaced; There are stains on the surface of the brake disc that are not cleaned in time, which is also a reason, so keep the surface clean.

How to overhaul a roller machine brake pads?

Brake friction discs are one of the important mechanisms to ensure the safety of the road roller's operation or driving. It can suddenly stop moving according to the driver's intention to avoid accidents. Brake friction plates are generally installed on the reversing shaft of the gearbox or the rear axle. Foot brakes usually include mechanical brakes, disc brakes, air brakes and hydraulic brakes. The following only introduces the technical requirements for maintenance of disc brake friction pads:

1) When the groove of the working surface of the pressure plate exceeds 0.50mm and the surface flatness exceeds 0.20-0.30mm, it should be turned or ground; the processing thickness of each piece is generally controlled at 0.50-2mm, and a static balance test is carried out. It is not The balancing moment is generally not greater than 30Nm.

2) The five wedge-shaped grooves on the pressure plate should be smooth, and grooves are generally not allowed. When the groove depth exceeds 0.50mm, it should be repaired or replaced, and the shape and distance of the five wedge-shaped grooves should be kept consistent.

3) The technical requirements of the friction plate refer to the technical requirements of the main clutch friction plate.

4) The contact area between the pressure plate and the friction plate and the friction plate and the housing should reach more than 70%.

5) A gap of 1-2mm should be maintained between the friction plate and the pressure plate when not braking.

Causes and Troubleshooting:
(1) There is oil stain on the surface of the friction plate. It is mainly caused by damage to sealing devices such as oil seals, leakage of lubricating oil, or improper maintenance and excessive oil injection. The source of the oil contamination should be identified and eliminated, and then cleaned;
(2) The free clearance of the clutch is too small or there is no clearance. should be readjusted;
(3) The pressure spring is broken or the elastic force is weakened. Springs should be replaced;
(4) The friction plate is worn. If the friction piece is ecbrasive, seriously burned or too thin, the rivet head is exposed, and it should be replaced; If the wear is not large, the rivet is buried at a depth of not less than 0.5 mm, and it can not be replaced. However, if the rivet is loose, it should be re-riveted or replaced with a new rivet. If the friction piece is lightly burned, it can be smoothed with sandpaper;
(5) The warping deformation of the driven disc and the unevenness of the plane of the flywheel and the pressing plate are too large, which should be corrected and repaired;
(6) The return spring is loose or broken and should be replaced.
