SHANGHAI, CHINA – The roar of engines is set to return to the Shanghai International Circuit as organizers officially announce the 2026 edition of the Shanghai 8 Hours. Scheduled to take place from September 25th to 27th, 2026,
this marks the fourth consecutive year for the prestigious endurance race at China’s premier Formula One Circuit A Premier Grid on a World-Class Stage
The 2026 Shanghai 8 Hours continues its tradition of excellence, welcoming elite teams from across China, the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region, and the international motorsport community. As the only F1-grade circuit in the country, Shanghai offers a challenging and high-speed backdrop for one of the region's most anticipated endurance fixtures.
Race Categories and Competitors
The event will feature a diverse field of Pro and Am competitors, pushing both Drivers and machine to the limit over eight grueling hours. The 2026 lineup will include three primary Classes:
GT3, GTC and GTS
Global Coverage
To ensure fans don't miss a second of the action, the entire event will be live streamed, worldwide. Comprehensive coverage will be available in both English and Chinese, bringing the excitement of the Shanghai paddock to a global audience.
Entries Now Open
Official registration for the 2026 event is now open. Interested teams and drivers are encouraged to submit their entries early to secure their
spot on the grid.
