On April 7, 2026, Rino.ai, a leading L4 autonomous driving company in China, and Lalamove, a major intra-city freight platform, launched large-scale commercial autonomous freight operations in Linyi, Shandong, China’s logistics hub. The Rino.ai RX, the first automotive-grade Robovan, was integrated into the Lalamove platform to offer autonomous delivery services to C-end users, micro-merchants, and wholesale stores. This marks the industry's first combination of a leading freight platform and mass-produced autonomous vehicles, signaling the move beyond pilot projects into a new era of scalable, public-facing autonomous freight.
With Lalamove’s nationwide order network and Rino.ai’s advanced L4 autonomous driving technology, the Rino.ai RX meets the needs of high-intensity, low-cost, long-life operations. The collaboration began with a successful pilot in Hefei, integrating technology, scheduling, payments, and maintenance. Linyi, known as China’s "Logistics Capital," is the first city chosen for a large-scale nationwide rollout. It features a dense trade network and complex urban logistics, making it an ideal testing ground for autonomous freight commercialization.
The two companies plan to expand to 200 vehicles in Linyi by 2026, running 24/7 and scaling to other cities over the next three years, creating a global autonomous freight network. Lin Ran, COO of Rino.ai, stated, “Autonomous freight thrives in complex, real-world scenarios. Lalamove provides the scenario, Linyi offers the environment, and Rino.ai provides the technology. Together, we’ll make autonomous driving a new infrastructure for urban logistics.”
Rino.ai is committed to advancing the future of intelligent logistics, and Lalamove continues to drive the digital transformation of same-city freight.
