Das Schweizer Unternehmen Catecar hat in Genf das Elektroauto Dragonfly vorgestellt. Der Dragonfly kommt ohne Steckdose aus und reinigt während der Fahrt sogar die Luft.

La société suisse Catecar présente à Genève un prototype de voiture électrique qui se recharge toute seule, grâce à son panneau solaire. Mais également une solution, grâce à laquelle la voiture ne polluerait plus, mais servirait à dépolluer l'air !

Message from Catecar's President

Trying to compare a Dragonfly with a Mercedes would be pointless. In the mobility that we advocate, wattmeters and fine-particle counters are more important than speedometers and tachometers.

Our aim is to make mobility part of the solution instead of it remaining part of the problem of air being polluted by fine particles and CO2, pollution that first stifles us, then drowns us through ice melt and rising water levels.

The Dragonfly is:

• a lightweight vehicle.
• a solar-powered electric vehicle, thus avoiding the need for charging from an electricity grid.
• a vehicle benefiting from a long range thanks to a range extender.
• a vehicle that cuts air pollution day and night even when stationary, 365 days a year.

These pollution-reducing technologies are built into our vehicle, but they can also be fitted to any other type of car thanks to the Catecair™ fine-particle filter which we plan to produce in 2017. The 1,200,000,000 cars which are on the move just two hours out of 24 all over the world can therefore be converted into pollution-reducing instruments working round the clock.

The business model is geared towards producing locally for local sale. Catecar Industries SA plans to set up subsidiaries in various countries to own production units or develop specific activities.
