Established in the 1990s by Marco Zanelli and led since 2019 by Cinzia Borghi, today we are a consolidated and continuously expanding business reality. Mistral Suisse, which operates in Italy, Switzerland and Monaco as a representative for international companies, and Mistral Trading, which handles all aspects of spare parts trading for ship systems, from engine life to the anchor. We serve our customers 24/7 and have strategically located hubs in the shipping centers of Amsterdam, Houston, Milan, Shanghai and Singapore, creating a worldwide network that puts us where you need us.

There is power and there is movement and in between there is a whole technical world that often remains out of sight, but makes a real difference in everyday operations.

Torque transmission, efficiency, reliability and limited space are some of the challenges that every onboard drive system has to face.
Because a propulsion system need to be powerful, but also stable, well integrated and able to work consistently over time, even under demanding marine conditions.

And sometimes, the smallest details are the ones that protect the longest lifecycle, clean, cool oil, for example, can become one of the most important bases for reliable performance.

A good sailor knows it well: continuity at sea depends on systems that keep working with precision, quietly and efficiently, long before anyone notices them.

C’è la potenza e c’è il movimento e nel mezzo esiste un intero mondo tecnico che spesso rimane nascosto, ma che fa una grande differenza nelle operazioni quotidiane.

Trasmissione della coppia, efficienza, affidabilità e spazio limitato sono alcune delle sfide che ogni sistema di trasmissione a bordo deve affrontare.
Perché un sistema di propulsione deve essere potente, ma anche stabile, ben integrato e capace di lavorare con continuità nel tempo, anche nelle condizioni marine più impegnative.

E a volte sono proprio i dettagli più piccoli a proteggere il ciclo di vita più lungo; un olio pulito e ben raffreddato, per esempio, può diventare una delle basi più importanti per una performance affidabile.

Un buon marinaio lo sa bene: la continuità in mare dipende da sistemi che continuano a lavorare con precisione, in modo silenzioso ed efficiente, molto prima che qualcuno li noti.

At sea, visibility is essential, it always has been, since the very beginning of navigation history, and the solution is quite simple: height.

Bringing a light, an antenna, a radar or a sensor higher up helps improve visibility, signal, coverage and the ability of onboard instruments to read what is happening around the vessel.

But onboard, as often happens, every solution has to deal with space, design, obstruction, bridge clearance, maintenance and exposure to marine conditions.

This is where telescopic masts come into play, they allow lights, antennas, radars and instruments to reach the right height only when they are truly needed, without imposing a fixed structure that is always exposed.

A technical detail, perhaps, but at sea, it is often the technical details that make the difference between a solution that simply takes up space and one that truly works onboard.

In mare, la visibilità è una questione essenziale, lo è sempre stata, fin da quando la storia della navigazione ha iniziato a essere scritta, e la soluzione è abbastanza semplice: l’altezza.

Portare una luce, un’antenna, un radar o un sensore più in alto permette di migliorare la visibilità, il segnale, la copertura e la capacità degli strumenti di leggere ciò che accade intorno all’imbarcazione.

Ma a bordo, come spesso accade, ogni soluzione deve fare i conti con lo spazio, il design, l’ingombro, il passaggio sotto ponti, la manutenzione e l’esposizione alle condizioni marine.

È qui che entrano in gioco gli alberi telescopici, oluzioni che permettono di portare luci, antenne, radar e strumenti alla giusta altezza solo quando serve davvero, senza imporre una struttura fissa e sempre esposta.

Un dettaglio tecnico, forse, ma in mare sono spesso proprio i dettagli tecnici a fare la differenza tra una soluzione che occupa spazio e una soluzione che lavora davvero a bordo.
