ID.TREFFEN 2026,
what an incredible five days. The 6th International Volkswagen ID.TREFFEN is over, and we are looking back on five unforgettable days filled with incredible moments, experiences and, most importantly, amazing people.
From our perspective, it was simply fantastic. Great people, an amazing community. We kicked things off on Tuesday evening with our Welcome Apéro and immediately set a new record: more than 70 participants joined us on the very first evening. Never before have we welcomed so many people at the start of ID.TREFFEN.
From there, one highlight followed another: a hike through the beautiful Verzasca Valley, a visit to the Botanical Garden, a w**e tasting, and, for some participants, a very special encounter with the world-renowned architect and designer Carlo Rampazzi. One of the absolute highlights was our Grand Tour ID.TREFFEN 2026. Our route took us through the stunning Centovalli, to Valais and on to Zermatt, where we enjoyed a fantastic lunch with a spectacular view of the Matterhorn. From there, we continued along some truly breathtaking roads, crossing the Furka Pass before reaching Andermatt. At the Radisson Blu Hotel Reussen, we enjoyed a three-course dinner together before heading back over the Gotthard Pass and down the legendary Tremola, a road that has become an essential part of ID.TREFFEN. Friday brought another first, ID.TREFFEN right on the shores of Lake Maggiore. For the first time, our paddock moved from La Rotonda in Locarno to the Lake View lido, giving our community an incredible setting right by the water. Volkswagen had a very special surprise for us. The Volkswagen ID. Drivers Club brought along a vehicle from the Mission Efficiency project, which had not yet been presented to the media at that time. An exclusive presentation just for our community and a fascinating insight into the project. In the evening, it was all about the lake, the beach, friends, great conversations, and the beats of DJ Fly-D. And because we wanted to make the most of every minute of those five days, Saturday brought one final challenge, our scavenger hunt through Ascona and Locarno, full of fun and a fantastic atmosphere. But when we look back, what really stays with us isn’t just the places, the cars, or the program. It’s the people. This community is what makes ID.TREFFEN what it is. A huge thank you to all our participants, partners, supporters, volunteers, and friends who made ID-TREFFEN 2026 possible and truly unforgettable. The wonderful feedback we’ve received since means a lot to us. 2026 is now part of ID.TREFFEN history. The memories will stay with us. And 2027? We’re already looking forward to it.
