Towing in Scotland? Don’t let a small mistake turn into a proper wobble on the road! 🚗💨

Our new guide covers the common towing mistakes caravan owners, horsebox users and work-trailer drivers can make, including:

✅ Not checking the coupling and breakaway cable properly
✅ Poor loading or overloading
✅ Panicking when the trailer starts to sway
✅ Reversing too quickly or overcorrecting
✅ Forgetting about trailer cut-in on bends
✅ Poor use of mirrors

For most full Category B licence holders, a separate B+E test isn’t required within the relevant limits : but that doesn’t mean you should just hitch up and hope for the best, mate! Professional B+E training helps you build the practical skills, judgement and confidence to tow safely. 💪

LISTEN UP MATE! 🛑 This is a right proper urgent one for all my wee yins trying to get on the road.

The rules have just changed and the DVSA isn't playing about. Using those third-party booking apps or bots to find a test slot is now OFFICIALLY illegal. 🚫

If you're caught using one, you risk having your test cancelled on the spot with NO refund. Imagine doing all that hard work, getting ready to smash it out the park, only to lose your slot and your cash because of some dodgy app! 🤦‍♂️

The ONLY legal way to book your test is straight through the official DVSA website. PLEASE don't risk it, it's just not worth the wobble.

I know finding a slot can be a total nightmare and makes you feel right scunnered, but we're in this together. If you're struggling to find a space or the system is giving you grief, send me a wee message or have a chat with me during your lesson. We’ll help you navigate the proper channels so you're sorted the right way! 🚗💨

Since the rules changed a couple of years back, you don’t actually need a separate test to tow a trailer anymore. But listen, just because you CAN do it, doesn't always mean you SHOULD without a bit of practice first! 🛑

Towing is a different beast entirely. From snaking on the motorway to that dreaded "how do I reverse this thing without looking like a total numpty?" moment at the campsite – it can be right stressful if you’re not prepared.
