What an incredible day at YCKC’s 2026 regatta! 💦
We are so proud of all of our athletes who got out on the water, challenged themselves, cheered each other on, and gave it their all. We saw some amazing paddling and, most importantly, a whole lot of sportsmanship, teamwork, and smiles! 👏
This regatta definitely came with a little extra challenge. We found out the morning of the event that one of our motorboats was out of due to mechanical difficulties. Despite being one motorboat short, our volunteers, coaches, officials, and athletes adapted and kept things moving AND we able to get the motorboat up and running by the second half of the day. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make the day go smoothly!
A HUGE thank you to all of our volunteers who gave up their time to help with everything from setting up and taking down, timing races, running boats, cooking, organizing, and everything in between. We could not have put on this event without you!
We would also like to give a special shoutout to the local businesses and organizations who donated to our canteen! Your generous support helped us keep our athletes, coaches, volunteers, and spectators fueled throughout the day.
