From typewriters, carbon copies, and rotary phones to dual monitors, cloud-based accounting, and smartphones, the tools have certainly changed over the years. But one thing remains exactly the same: the importance of a strong Controller keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes.
Whether it was balancing the books by hand decades ago or managing complex financial systems today, the role has always been about making sure employees are paid, vendors are taken care of, invoices go out on time, and ownership has the information they need to make smart decisions.
Technology has made the job faster and more efficient, but it still takes a dedicated, detail-oriented professional to keep the financial heartbeat of the dealership strong. We're proud of the talented women who have filled this role throughout our history, helping keep the business organized, accountable, and, yes, occasionally keeping the owners on their toes! 😉
